It's been 13 years

Hard to believe that time has flown by (forgive the pun) so quickly.
I still remember the horror of becoming aware of the reality as it was happening
and watching people jump to their deaths from the buildings to savor
the last few seconds of life, rather than being instantly killed by the engulfing flames.

Then being concerned for family, neighbors, & friends that worked there,
rescuers that sped to help and those families affected by lives lost.

Let us never forget the pain, the suffering, the terror, the desperation,
nor the thousands of lives engulfed in the senseless horrendous heinous acts
of September 11, 2001.

Let us always remember this terrible tragedy and pay tribute to the lives lost
and those who have suffered greatly because of it !
My condolences to all who have suffered and been cheated by such loss.
May liberty and justice always prevail.

While I'm glad one of the masterminds behind this tragedy was taken out by the Navy Seals,
it cannot replace those lives who have been lost and restore those families
that were directly affected.
As I write this blog, I literally cry sympathetically for those whose lives were lost so senselessly.

May it serve to remind us all of just how fragile our own lives are
and how they can be permanently lost in an instant by accident,
disease or senseless, vicious uncaring acts of others.

Great blog Jim!thumbs up I doubt our generation will ever forget 9/11. My condolences go out to all of the family and friends who lost love ones in this tragety!
Well written! It was indeed senseless! What is ever gained by the death of inno ent people......
Thanks Jim. Hopefully, it will never be forgotten.

Only remorse Cal. Only remorse.
Won't ever forget...
watching the second plane on the news channel as it obviously sped directly toward the tower...this was no accident or in any way an error...this was intentional! Before that as a spectator on television, the first plane might have been simply a tragic accident...witnessed by many but not processed as to what they were actually seeing! Now,the realization was captured for our eyes to behold as the horror unfolded and life for the souls trapped in the planes and mangled, burning buildings came to an end. Prayers for them silently filled our minds & thoughts as we asked for their Maker to be with them.
Life for this country changed that day, we no longer have the luxury of innocence and living our lives in reasonable safety....hatred has reached us, bringing with it measures that require us to acknowledge we are in a war.....a war of ideals and cultures.....mind against mind...not to be resolved in the same manner as some past conflicts have been...a battle of deep feelings and living resentments.
No, it will never be forgotten...it announced a new era, a new way of life and should always be seen as the sacrifice it was for those who lost their lives that day!
jim
Last night watched the destruction of the twin towers but also witnessed 2 brave men who saved many lives by showing them a way to safety...these 2 men lost their lives as a result...what bravery and the many of the rescued people, paid it forward as a result...
