Hey, I am all for meeting someone. In my case it is distance, I'm 54, average looks, nothing spectacular.... scaredy cats, maybe. I like that, all talk and no action.

My problem is distance....no one interesting in my area.I am just not sure that people want to have long distance relationships.So what if some one lives in another state,that's why we have planes,trains and automobiles...(by the way that was a great movie)lol

I truly find it disconcerting when someone generalises. Do you truly believe that all the people on this site are all talk and no action? Or for that matter, any dating site? That is sad if you do. This is a hard world, with alot of pain being dished out every minute of every day. Each and everyone of us deals with that pain differently. I don't have a problem getting dressed up and jumping in to meet someone. But, that is me. For someone else, that may not be so easy. If you don't like being screened, then move on. Try to see the other person's point of view and you might enjoy your experience on this site a bit more.

I don't think you can paint all with the same brush,
I talk to two woman on here that have become good
friends, and arranged to meet another this weekend
just past (for a friendly coffee only)and chat,but
couldn't make it for a family crises (my fault)

And I am going to meet an absolutely gorgeous lady
to see how we get on and to see if there is any sort
of chemistry or sparks between us this weekend .
I think distance has got a lot to do with whether you
are able to actually meet up with someone, so one's area
is the first place one should look.

I too like to read and contribute to the forums on this
site and to chat with all from all over the world as it
is fun, but to seriously look for a partner for real life
friendship or romance one should really look no further
than what they feel is a comfortable drive or to relocate
all together.

Good luck to you and certainly don't think about giving up
or leaving CS as that will get you no further to what you
are looking for! .

McBob I would not presume to know whether pif say plenty of action.. but the closest thing I saw to forums was chat...(not Chat) but we are singular in having a blog? section, no ?
Even though forums and blogs are less discernable different except in the number of words allotted.

The recent link to Facebook and Twitter surely spurns hourly posts of multiplicity and intersections of groups externally benefiting some here and others that used to be close knit not so much.
