Another Crusade To The Holy Land?
If CS was a geographical region and not a site in the cyber world then surely it would have been the Holy Land of the Internet. We have been invaded by wave upon wave of crusaders waving the banners of their religion; some not even understanding the religion that they promote well enough to answer simple questions regarding the specific religion. I wonder if the Pope approved and blessed this crusade? I have lost count of the exact number.
Talking about the pope, what happened to our own pope? I have not seen him since my return.
But these are not the Templar, Hospitaller or Teutonic knights of old who tried to make the Holy Land accessible to all. These crusaders try to promote their own religions as being superior to the rest while other have a (not so well) hidden agendas to promote their warped racial or political views, thus using religion as a vehicle to spread their own views.
Methinks they all wanted to be preachers or politicians (same thing) but probably failed the test and now seek different stages for their plays.
It reminds me of an old man that used to stand on the corner with a bible, a portable amplifier, and a guitar. He never had much of an audience as most people just walked on and the surrounding residents found him a nuisance.
I understand that they have a mission to spread the news about their God, and don't complain about that but why bombard us with their own views and agendas.
There is a time and a place for every thing and a dating site does not strike me as a pulpit. I’m sure there are thousands of religious sites where this sort of writings will be more than welcome.
I seldom read blogs with a religious content and lately that leaves me with very little to read and causes me to yearn back to some other nasty or weird characters who have disappeared over the last year. At least I used to read their blogs.
May all of you have a wonderful day.

I personally like rather silly, inane Blogs.....i'm here for abit of a laugh and i love humour...the sillier the better....these Blogs are getting very hard to find.....
It will not be the first time. I once was told that I was even born in the right year to be the Antichrist himself.
I understand their mission to spread the word about God but then stick to the doctrine of your religion and don't make up your own.
As I said, there is a time and a place for every thing. Some of these people give religion a bad name.
I have read many blogs of this type saying that we people that love Jesus blog too much and that we should do it in moderation.
I have basically ignored this for the sake of not arguing because CS has already said we can blog about Jesus Christ. Period!
But for the sake of reporting these things in their true position I have taken the last 3 pages of blogs and counted how many blogs were of religion and there were 6, including yours. Four for speaking about Jesus Christ, God or spirituality and 2 against us.
So in the simplest way of proving the outcry simply silly I have taken the total count of these 3 pages at about 70 blogs and divided into the 5 for/against blogs.
Here are the results:0.071428571, or just a little over 7%, are for/against Jesus, God and/or spirituality. But here the bottom line and I will repeat it again. CS said we could and we will.
Just read the other 93% and that should keep you and all the others happy!
I am a guy that does not need to wear his religion on his shirt sleeve. However, there are some religious blogs I have found informative and unfortunately, entertaining. lol
But, I just read them when I choose to.
You are right, blog land here has become a bit more duller. Maybe I should come up with some sort of strange blogs? lol....I will be next on the CS chopping block.
Take care Cat....hope the best for you.
Thank you for stating your view but you are getting me wrong.
My blog is not anti religion. I can accept religion and belong to and support a church for reasons of my own that is not relevant here. I acknowledge the important role of the cChurch in our society. My beef is with the bogus content of some of the teachings and the aggressive manner in which it is done.
I don't know what it is about religion that make some people so aggressive.
And thanks for the advice re what blogs to read. I shall follow it.
Good to see you around again. As I said in a previous comment, my 'crusade' is not against religion. It is the improper use of it but some people are too quick on their horses about it.
I merely penned my observations but apparently I'm not allowed to do it. CS is a nice place and a few differences in opinion from time to time cannot be too bad. The place is more placid now than a year ago. Religions, like nations, will always clash no matter what we do because they all seem to think like George Bush: 'If you're not with us then you are against us'.
Once upon a time King Richard III was prepared to swap his kingdom for a horse. I wonder what a jester was worth paying for.
I'm sure you will make it to the short list After your first interview.
Yes, we will always have differences but why do some condemn the other views? Are they the only ones who are right and the rest of us mortals all wrong?
They are right!
Now! Get over it! dude......
That will all depend on who 'they' are.
The funny thing is I did not attack any religion nor did I mention the name of any deity. Yet I was replied to in a very abrupt way way about Jesus, probably wearing a WWJD armband. Come to think about it, I wonder if He would have reacted to this blog with such a strong voice.
Maybe! It was just a misunderstanding.....
Yes, I think you have the recipe.
It will be sad if CS was to be 'converted' to a Christian dating site. What is going to happen to all our Muslim friends? The answer would be to create a blog page just for religious mauls but then according to the statistics I received earlier - not checked yet - they are but a small minority and such action is probably not justified.
Maybe half those WWJD armbands stand for 'What would Jesus do' and the other half stand for 'We want Jack Daniels'.
Now! That is a question that! You should be asking JC. And not me!...... >>Rolling On The Floor.....
Sure! Do you have doubts? Thomas.
What little faith you have! All you need is a little muster seed of faith....
I don't think doubt is the right word. I just don't know. And Thomas did more than doubt. He did not believe until he saw with his own eyes.
At least! He got around to believing. Now! What about the muster seed?....
No, what about the mustard seed? Are you trying to convert me. As things stand now, since the fiasco with the devil's wife, he won't have me in his domain.
Anyway, it is time for Lala Land over here.
I have watched from the pulpit for many a moons now.
As for me being back in the open (blogs) i fear that it may be for a short time.
One thing is sure though, I am always here in spirit. (does that then prove there is a God?)
Lots of noise from people who talk religion...they need a forum for their voice...I suspect no one else is listening to them...being religious is fine but trying to aggressively assert themselves here is a bit much!!...I do miss the other bloggers who are gone!...that being said...Hi simmo!!...long time no see!!
I'm thinking there are a few people i need to let know that the rumours of my death have been greatly over stated.
You are absolutely correct and I thank you for your kind understanding.
hello!
simmo
The rumours are not true!!...long live simmo!!
Now I am wondering why I didn't even hear this rumour.
Please!!!!Don't die Simmo. At least to prove rumours are just rumours!!
