How to become popular on CS.........

The mark of popularity here, is the number of comments you receive for your blog ,well most bloggers feel that way........
So to become popular on the blogs, one should follow few simple rules
1 Start a fight on your blogs
2 flirt with fellow bloggers
3 Indulge in innate banter
4 make friends with people here who comment on any and every blog
5 Double post all your comnents.

You don't think so?
But isn't that some bloggers do to here to become popular and get most comments???

Dedo your right, I forgot to mention that one
i do not blog to become popular, far be it,i blog if i have some thing to relay to people or to comment on a blog that i have read,
and i must say that i do not read every blog as some just do not do it for me,
as for arguing no thanks life is to short for that, and there are much better things to do,
some blogs are interesting to say the least and others well they are just others,
saying good bye blogs are just a no no in my book,
if you had enough just leave simple,
but what i do notice that there are not many helpful blogs on the site,,
just my views have a good day to all,,

Hi again.
I agree with what Ed says here.

I do not blog to become popular but only because I want to share some interesting information and also hear other people´s point of view and opinions on certain thing.

I also do not wish to start arguments as I find there is enough negativity in this world!
So I´d rather stay away from contraversial blogs as I have better things to do with my life and prefer to spend my time enjoying the outdoor life that Spain has to offer and also helping at the horse rescue centre as I can manage those four-legged creatures better!laugh

Birthday and goodbye blogs I don´t do either!

I am here to bring and share knowledge, wisdom, love and laughter the best I can...wave angel teddybear
Hi Niayanahandshake
Popular in the blogs? What is for? Popular in the blogs and feel lonely in the real world doh
Become popular on this site is not popular choice for me peace
Have a nice day for the popular bloggers and not popular bloggers peace
being popular is nice I guess... like actor cool , so let me become fan.... banana
I don't know. I have never seen the blogs as a popularity contest. I blog because I have something to say and there is another stat that is more important to me. I'm more concerned with how many people read my blog. In other words, did I get my message across.

To me a blog with 20 comments made by 10 people is more successful than a blog with 100 comments made by 5 people.

The secret is to write what the people want to read about and a sure way to do that is to challenge the motives and the bona fides of the bloggers instead of the contents of the blogs they post.

laugh some interesting ideas, however I would suggest there are some far better ways to be "popular", personally I see the net in much the same way as real life & if you tried the methods above in a bar I'm doubtful you'd be very popular with the regulars, or the landlord come to that uh oh especially if you repeated everything you said doh I would say things like consistency are far more important, nobody is keen to comment on a blog where the blogger is all smiles one day then takes your head off the next wow listening to the comments you receive & replying rather than giving the commenter the impression they're talking to themselves sigh avoiding personal attacks merely because you don't agree on a point made roll eyes

As for flirting, this a dating site heart1 and what you may consider inane banter is just small talk to others, something most do in "real" life all the time wine
Stop Talking About Medevil
And,what do they achieve, becoming popular on a dating site??? Boosting their Ego???? or Narcissism of "the worst kind""???.-

I'm feeding my madnesscrazy
BLOGS, POLLS ,THREATS are only a way of getting a message through a person through a screen and more importantly listening to opinions and thoughts of people around the world. To me its ONLY that ., nothing else.

POPULARITY ON CS !!!!!!!! Don't know what it is confused
A successful Blog....is getting a good mix of people commentating and making things interestingapplause
The number of comments is not important....just as Cat said....i mean...you can have 3 people talking rubbish, and it can reach 100.....conversing dunno
Once a Blog reaches page 2.... Its forgotten.....its chip paper....so the number of comments just isn't important...grin
A good blogger is one who makes people second guess their own mind and opinions. makes the reader think and examine things he or she might have held as sacrosanct for a long time. Unfortunately most people approach online discussions with one-direction minds.... most people never allow their own values to be questioned. Especially when one is supplied irrefutable evidence of something they still shy away from it.
6. Write a blog typing saying you're leaving CS....irish
^^^ lololol rolling on the floor laughing
Or a Birthday is always popular....have mine in 2 days....rolling on the floor laughing
Dewiqueen you would be surprised to know that a,ll the people popular here are in fact lonely in real life..
Cat..o you are very right as always, I agree with you totally.
Mountain, why do I get this feeling that you are irritated with me....
Chris you said it.......
Alexandro, you still wet behind the ear ,me thinks
Jazz,a good mix of people what is that?
Well said maddog, you have my vote
Jazz is fibbing. I have seen her go for the steak knife sets and whine (just a little) laugh when I bounced one of her 8 page blogs with a 4 response post.

Only a (very) few care about collecting friends and followers. I write what I think at the moment. If it gets no replies or 200, I care not. Tis only recently after I noticed some comments about folks who don't that I started being polite enough to look at responses to some blogs I had written, then moved on and forgotten. Pologies to those who responded to blogs I wrote 2 or 3 years ago and never responded to comments left there. Didn't know I was supposed to. Mea Culpa.
Ken....ive lost my touch....i'm lucky to reach page 2 these days.....rolling on the floor laughing
I agree with the comments that many bloggers consider themselves popular because of the number of comments they receive on their blogs... this may be true for them in their fairyland need to be popular. But the real-deal and truth of being popular is not the blogger, but for the owners of CS who aren't worried about a person perceiving him/herself to be popular because of comment counts... if a blogger brings in hits and business, then that's different.

uuuhhh, CS owners as all site owners could care less about how many comments a blog has from inside the site, they are watching viewer counts also from outside the site who are not members... they look at who is a drawing card for others to join as members on the site... how many are viewing the blogs or posts to bring in business, this is where CS popularity and money comes in... VIEWER COUNTS (HITS), NOT COMMENTS. Hits (viewer activity) let's them know how many people are coming to their site by the number of hits, not comments, because only members are able to make comments, but everyone (traffic)is able to view the blogs and the whole site ....just sayinglaugh conversing cheering
The question i would ask is,
"Why do some bloggers feel the need/urge to be popular"?
I believe the majority of bloggers here blog to share a story or perhaps an opinion, maybe even to share a thought.
The net should be treated no differently to "real life", There are those that want to be the centre of attention, those that like being involved in discussions, some could even be lonely and use the blogs as a way of helping the day pass.
As for me, well, i'd rather be respected than popular, i feel that if i remain true to myself, my upbringing, use the manners taught to me by my parents, whether it be here in "blogland" or "real life" then i have earnt respect, as for being popular, "It is an ill wind that blows nobody good".
Who remember popular Prime Ministers or Leaders.
Almost no one.
The unpopular one's get the fame.-
Hello Niayana, first of all a very interesting blog. Second, I didn't know that being here as one of the blogger and comment participant would make me subject to some kind of an observation or even quantitative calculation to popularity.

I am not aspiring to be popular. I never thought of any consequence on being rated as such. But I do enjoy writing and sharing almost anything more for me to learn and hoping that my gesture serves the very reason I expected to effect on other people.

Now whether or not most if not all are by any means doing this for the sake of popularity, then so be it. At least they are here glued doing what they enjoy doing than being out there doing something that harms the world. There is no question on my mind that if the people get so many questions and or reaction to their blogs negative or positive, means people are of great interest that make them to respond either way.sad flower
