What's out there to see

Well figured I should start blogging to see if I can gather information on my upcoming travel venture. I am headed to Arizona sometime in Dec. Crossing over from Canada and hoping to spend a few days in Nashville. Has anybody got an advice about what I really should see and also what are the best places to eat other words where can I get the best bang for my buck seeing my buck is looking sad compared to the US$. I will be driving.

Well if you coming down I 81 or I 95, it makes a difference. Avoid all the Northern end truck stops in NJ on the I-95 turnpike. Lots of inner city folk cruising those parking lots looking to find something to take. It isn't too bad after the Turnpike ends and it just becomes straight I-95 in NJ, but really nothing great till you hit the Delaware line.

I 78 to I-81 I would think about Middleway Truck Stop in NJ. Any of the Flying J or 78 truck stops. Frying Pan truck stop restaurants. Etc.

Seriously, follow the big trucks. Many of those drivers earn only a few cents a mile and spend their money on best value. Look for big truck stops with wall to wall trucks. Coming from Canada I don't know if you will have a CB radio, but if so, good old channel 19 can be a useful companion on that run.
Ken gave you good advise the truckers know where the best food is.
Better get a move on as there will be snow ect.

Thanks Ken - Will be on I-75 for part of the way so will take your advice. Has anybody been to Nashville - like to know what is the best thing to see as I probably will spend one whole day checking out the sights.
My main Truck Terminal was in Nashville when I drove for Western Express.........Comfort Inns are the Best and the Cheapest eggs and Bacon in the morning....And theres the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.......detective
Thanks Namaron - OH yes the one thing I will go to is the Grand Ole Opry. Maybe I will find more things to see there and spend more time.
