what is this world coming to???

there are times when i wonder what this world is coming to.

although i am only 23 years old i have always stood by the morals taught to me by my family and life experiences but as i look around it seems as though people are doing the exact opposite.

people cheating on their faithful and loving spouses, lying to get their way, and even going so far as to coerce and intimidate the good hard working people of our time to get themselves ahead.

people have a nasty habit of doing things only in their own interests no matter who they have to step on to get there which is why bad things happen to good people and all the good things happen for people who don't deserve them.

who nowadays really knows the value of money? who really appreciates the things they have no matter how plentiful or few? is there anyone who really appreciates what they currently have or does it take for them to lose that important aspect of their life to realize what they have been missing out on?

try as i might i cannot ever seem to fully understand why people choose to be like this and why good hearted, hard working, understanding people are often left behind to rot. if karma really exists then where is it now?

these are just a series of questions that plague me from day to day and i can't seem to find an answer to them... maybe the world i live in can provide some answers.
