"TO DESTROY A MEMORY"

And the Tree said to the Man with the Axe..."Why do you want to cut me down?"...."For the last 100 years Ive watched you sitting under me as I protected you from the Sun...."Ive watched you run under my branches when it rained real hard"..."And all of my dried up branches that fell to the ground were fuel for your Fireplace that kept you warm at Night"...."And when you were little dont you remember that swing that was tied to me and your Father would push you ever so higher?"...."And what about all those days that you and your little kid friends would climb all over me?"..."You kids really had a lot of fun..Remember?"................The Man stood there with his axe......Thought about it....and walked away from the Tree.......(No Way Was He Going to Destroy Memories)............

Nam, you have a poetic soul...You are right: trees in our garden are like our pets and members of our family...In Moscow I had a big garden at our dacha. Some apple trees we plant when my children were born, and now they are huge trees, which give so many apples that you can feed several families... This summer I went to Moscow and cried in my garden: nobody takes care of it as I did...But I was happy when my neighbours invited me and showed a lot of blossoming happy plants that once I shared with them (I always did it as I wanted everybody had this beauty)... I was happy: my garden lives, even though at my neighbours...

The Tallest tree in the world is a Sequoia Redwood in California...Was Given the Name (Hiperion)...And stands 379.1 Feet ..But is roughly 700 to 800 Years Old...........(Its whereabouts has not and will not be revealed as Humans for sure would want to go there and Therefore the Eco System would be destroyed..........

I love the giant Sequoias! I have a maple tree that sets off my patio. In the fall, it turns completely gold. Well, at least I am rich for a week!

The Largest Tree alive today is "The General Sherman".(A Giant Seqouia...It is 379.4 feet above its base,,,And 102,6 feet at its base........36 and a half feet wide........And is estinated to weigh 2,471,000 Pounds..............

Trees create Oxygen...Trees give you shade from the heat and the Sun...Trees keep your Fire going that keeps you warm on a cold Winters night.....Trees are a refuge for Wild Animals seeking safety from Predators...Trees are fun to climb on.......Trees give us Food to eat..........Trees give us Syrup for our Pancakes and Waffles and French Toast........Trees support Hammocks so you can lay on your A==..........Trees are beaytiful to look at from a distance....Trees are Havens for Birds.......Trees give you the means to have Shelter.....Trees do just about everything for us...........

I would argue the trees worse enemy was the railroad running through the heart of the forests. Of course now there are no more forests.

These photos were taken not far from this spot. The track is now a road and the both the trees like that and the trains that hauled them away are long gone now. I mourn the loss of both.

Here in Pawtuket Rhode Island..Where Im from...In..Slater Park...There is a small pond....And in the Middle was an Island 20 by 20 feet...Occupying it was a Weeping Willow Tree..(It was there when I was 5 yrs old) was about 130 yeras old..Was beautiful..Great For Pictures..And a Symbol of Something that was here long before it became a Park...It Was Slater Park.....And then one day ........It was gone............Now a bare looking Desert Island is out there now for all to gaze upon with "Wonder And Awe at the Beauty of it now"..............
