Just starting, any advice?

Well, this is my first time doing something like this and i have to say it feels a little...strange to say the least. i mean, i love to write so it kind of works out that i do something involving writing to meet girls, but it definitely feels off not being able to actually see the girl im trying to entice. anyone else feel like that or am i just that behind the times?
