LoL, decades ago, when I was really new to farm living, I had the bright idea it would help my crops to have ladybugs. I had no idea if my land already had them, so I decided to be sure.

From a Gurney's catalog I ordered a few thousand ladybugs. They came in a little bag. I went outside the house and shook about 50,000 out of the bag.

With hindsight, I should have gone much further away from the house. Yes, my fields now had lady bugs. Over the next few days so did the inside of the house. We must have vacuumed up hundreds of them that first year. Wifey was a little annoyed. Nothing like having ladybugs on your dinner plate. LoL

For the next 20 years we cope(d) with occasional lady bugs in the house.

We had similar experiences with the praying mantis egg cases that came in the same shipment. Next time, if this property ever runs out of either one, I will know to go further away from the house.
