I’ll Never Fall In Love Again.
How many times have you resolved not to fall in love again? And yet, once the wounds have healed, we just fall in love again; time and time again. And when we fall in love, we forget all our good resolutions and break all our own rules.
The strange part of it is that we usually a fall in love with strangers. Let’s face it, we don’t look into the eyes of somebody we have known for years and then suddenly go weak in the knees. It is a stranger that does that to you. If you don’t want to fall in love, avoid meeting or seeing strangers. But then there is probably a built in cut out switch somewhere to allow you to fall in love with a known person in the absence of strangers.
A man and a woman who have known each other for years will not fall in love with each other, even though they may be a perfect match. However, it may happen that they can come to their senses and decide to throw their lot together. Given some time, they will grow to love each other and spend a lifetime in happiness but that was not falling in love. It is a cultivated love brought about by a logic decision and probably has the best chance of success.
I think falling in love is a primitive breeding instinct to ensure the survival of the human species. And it is built into our genes to fall in love with strangers to diversify our genetic material. Inbreeding had never been good for any genetic pool.

I always though I had the typical male mentality but I only share some of the characteristics you mentioned. Decency is another problem. See, I was one of a twin but a pig ate both of us and my mother raised the pig. Now you know why I talk as much as two people and also why I'm so rude.

Yes, it is wonderful and every time you come out of a broken relationship, you are more resilient, Stronger and better equipped for the next love affair. Life is a merry-go-round.

You hate him with a passion? Don't! Hate will eat you up from inside and when it is done with you, it will spit you out as an empty shell. Forgive him, he will hate you for it because as long as you hate him, he will know that you still care. I don't say make the same mistake again, but cast of the burden of hate. It prevents you from seeing all the good things in life.
But you are generalizing and condemning all Afrikaans speaking men - which I am one of). I'm sorry to hear that you had some bad experiences with a few men but there are a few million other men here that you don't know at all. Your survey is not based on a wide enough selection.
Therapy will not change what happened in the past. Talking gets it off ur chest. I have talked plenty. I still have to rear and pay for two boys single handedly. Not that I don't want to do it. Just to be disgusted by the fatherlyroll described. Do u thinmk that's right. I thought the man is always the head of the household. Or has it suddenly changed as the wind blows.
I say again, forgive him. He's holding your soul in ransom. Your hate is all-consuming and leaves place for anything else in your heart. Forgive him and get on with your life.

But why not? Life is beautiful and love is also as well. Next just open our eyes as big as possible to make sure which kind of love we want and fall in it, then would be safe landing...
I'd say that some of us reach a stage in life when logical decisions are made first which then could grow into love or even allows one to fall in love as it were. A more cautious approach because of past lessons learnt.

if you have in your Horoscope Saturnus and Moon or Saturnus and Venus in a tight aspect with each other,then you get in real Love only one time in your life...my Sons Mother had that and she know very well that she can not Love in real again,she married after our divorce an other man and she told me,that she marry him because he just gave her support,when she was missing me. Crazy bat a fact.

Well, if the current rate of success on CS is anything to go on by then I do believe the human species is on it's way towards extinction!

I guess at our age we no longer have all the hormones in the abundance as when we were young; hence the lack in chemistry to fall in and out of love as often as before. But regardless, I still think we have enough of it to go stargazing when the right stranger rocks up at the right time.
I'm inclined to believe that CS is more successful than what we can perceive from the blogs. Only a small percentage of members blog and there may be more happening behind the scenes than what meets the eye.
If the people here have mutated then we are a step ahead of the rest of mankind, so why go primitive again.

Right! Being in love is the most wonderful feeling. What the heck if it does not work. Enjoy it while it last. There will always be somebody to comfort you when your world crashes.
