You should Google Blackwater. Maybe he thought he had worked with you once upon a time.

BTW, unless things have changed since my bouncer days, and unless you have $100 bills sticking out of every pocket, and unless she is drunk or stoned, most of the ladies dancing night after night have zero interest in going home with a customer. Often their boyfriend or even her husband is one of the staff.

Well not the Blackwater I know. The one I knew was a 2000 creation, now called Serval. I have no idea what Blackwater was in 1990.
It's uncertain but he may have thought you were a member of the security team in Iraq? It's a small world and we all have doubles I've heard.

That's so funny laugh

I was telling my daughter in law a long story about how my dog had hurt her paws.

My grandson tapped my arm and started to tell me a detailed story which really impressed me because he's Autistic and very difficult to understand. Then I heard the word 'paws' and he had mimicked me word for word.

Perhaps this man wanted you to follow him to this place. Yes Scary!

Depending on regions, "blackwater" may very well have been his way of telling you the dancer(s) or, the place, was a "waste", a dive, etc... Additionally, he probably was checking you out, and that comment was his flimsy attempt to break the ice. Google "blackwater"--it is commonly used as a term for something not worth anything. I am guessing that is what he was saying.
