Which is easier to find? a great job or a great lo

Finding a great job, one that will interest you, grow over the years, keep you enthralled, how hard is that? No harder than meeting a perfect partner.

Like so many other things, gets harder as you grow older. Past jobs look better in retrospect than they really were. You wonder why you ever left them, then you remember the long hours or the stress or, perhaps, the boredom.

Anyone have (or had) a great job? I'm seriously thinking time to step back into full-time work, plus that salary thing (not to mention paid holidays) is apparently quite useful.

Not sure which is harder as I have not succeeded in finding a great job or a perfect partner yet. Think it is kind of a bit too late for both so just going to do what I like best and see if I can make some money out of doing it. Must say I met the perfect partner once but he was more perfect to me than I to him...so don't think that counts. laugh
I have a good job I like at the moment. A job is a necessity for me to pay the bills and enable the livestyle I have (mind, not the one I would like to have laugh ) but a partner is a want and not a necessity and something I enjoy. conversing
KN, marketing is an interesting line to be in, good one. My background is in private event management (manic hours, but huge fun) or accounting - odd mix, I know, I know. These days I freelance as an editor / copy editor / proofreader in between books. Either more work than I can get through or, like now, one big job finished, one on hold, and suddenly nothing to do. The next jobs will probably come in at exactly the moment the big job comes off hold ...
doh

Hi Vivian.

abt job, I agree with you that to get a great job is not as difficult in getting a great partner (of life).
Yes my job is great, as long as we can pay all the bills and live a nice life, that is great already.
but to find a great partner... uuff, we need a patience and sacrifice, and disappointment cant be measured by the earn that we got from our job.

for a woman, after she gets good education, then gets a great job with a great salary... most of them are not easy in finding a great partner, usually she will put herself as a minimum standard for a man who interested to her. IMO.
My background is in farming Vivian and I'm glad that I can combine it as I'm working for an agricultural company.

I do envy you the being self-employed - I liked being my own boss, but granted, I like a wage coming in each month, weekends off and holidays as well.

Best of luck with your future job plans. hug
