A Cs-legend
8 months ago I have said my goodbyes. You told me I would be back, my reply was that nothing would make me return to the blogs. And now this tragedy has brought me back, so guess you were right again.
I don't know where to begin to describe this legend, this wonderful man that was my first friend on CS, a man loved and respected by many of the bloggers.
This man combined great humour, with great writing, some seriousness,..
This man showed respect to all, a man of great honour.
He was famous for many reasons, but i guess most famous for his annual awards. He would always make sure everyone received one, and from the amount of text he included in those blogs it was obvious he spend much time in preparing them.
So dear Simmo, I think I may speak for all here that you will be missed. We wish your beloved family much strength in these difficult times.
*sorry for not being here to reply to the confusion.
Simmo has passed away on May 30th 2015.
I don't know how it happened. I only know because of the post of friends and family on his FB account.

yet you address him,
so i'm alittle confused, has someting happened to Simmo???
What happened ?
himself and simmo were such fun characters togeather on the blogs..in those days that i'm talking about simmo was much more active then, ted met the love of his life here, left to be in her life and said goodbye to us all here.. they found their happy ending with the ringing out of wedding bells.
Teddy is a genuine and very sincere person...
and i'm only saying this because i know he wouldn't be here unless something is wrong..and pls God hopefully its not our Simmo.

and the use of the past tense in speaking about Simmo.
Teddy, you have us in suspense! Please enlighten us!
why me?
Simmo is one of our good bloggers, he's not active on blogs these days but he's online 2 days ago. I hope all is well with him.
Teddy left us after he met his lovely Jenny here and tied the knot.

Well, reading what Ted wrote it sound like Simmo has gone to that big internet in the sky, so although I didn't know of him I wish him to RIP and condolences to his family....
some may not be so familiar with his name as some of us are, others may know him by face only....
Simmo
Thanks! I was about to post his pic too.
I do feel sad about this bad news, no laughing icon on this blog please...
When bloggers post a "goodbye" blog, I don't feel sad cos I know they'll be back before I could miss them but as tragic as this, I do feel that loss...I never meet him in person but he's one of many good people who keep this Blog Land alive and fun for all of us...
Such sad and awful news.
To Simmo the gentleman that he was, may he RIP
RIP Simmo
It was a privilege knowing him as i did, he was a gentleman in every way, saw the best in everyone reasons why he will be missed by all that knew him here on CS..
It's very sad to hear of his passing now, which I consider too soon and at too young of an age.
Because we never know what day will be our last, I ask everyone to please somehow find it in your hearts and souls to forgive each other, to put aside differences, drama, grudges and all such trivial things that can be overcome, and please try to get along with each other. For everyone of you is a blessing to this earth, to this life, to your family, loved ones and to each other. It is love and friendship that is most important during our lifetimes.
I'll remember Simmo for the good times we once shared, and the great goodness that truly radiated from within him outward and touched many people in a positive way.
May God bless him, May he rest in peace. I most certainly and most definitely will say a prayer for him, for his family and loved ones in this difficult time.
Simmo, I salute you, your life and the good man I know you always truly were. May God bless you and may peace be with you forevermore.
I didn't know him as well as some, I know he and Lou bantered a lot and I remember him coming out of the shadows on to Nam's blogs for a time, his sense of humour was well noticed . I noticed in his latest comments how he was trying to always see another persons point of view but the thing that stuck in my mind the most was when he spoke of his family in occasion with much deep affection. I feel for their great loss at this time.
May they be comforted at their sad time of grief.
