Wow. No. Never. Do you mean emotionally, financially, friends - I can't imagine anything being so utterly destructive. Hope that hasn't happened to you.

Come to think of it, you wouldn't ever be with nothing. Experience, they tell us, is cheap at any price!
Hi Joseph,
during the times it initially seemed that way, i eventually came to know that my felt sense of 'ending up with nothing' wasn't the case at all... i realized that in the space of 'giving it all' i fully received what i needed to more deeply Love rose
Everything is everything. Only left with scars.
Thank you all for the food for thought.

I always give everything to my partner emotionally - when I know him and know that the feeling is mutual.

Otherwise you'll just wreck your head and heart. It's tough having something like this ending, but if it was good and mutual, you did get a good bit in return. conversing
Hi Minerva bouquet
yes, lovely
Yes . Thank youbouquet
Yes I ended up homeless, jobless and pennyless whilst he swanned around in his big house with no mortgage entertaining his many girlfriends.

Eventually and several years later he tried to lay claim to the only thing left to me when it matured, but amazingly the courts stepped in with no prompting from me and told him to sling his hook!

I rebuilt and I'm proud to say that ten years on I'm entirely back on my feet and can hold my head high with a lot of self respect.

He doesn't have me so he has the greatest loss.

To all the kind folk who considered their 'not so' better half before themselves!

teddybear wave cheers
THANK YOU ALL! Sorry I was not on very long to see what you wrote at the time, had things to do.
Beautiful. Thank You, guess there is one heck of a plan for me.
Minerva. Have not felt like singing in 10 years. Guess 2 years of BS is enough. Time to pull my heart out of the dirt and start moving on.
LoL, been there, done that, at lest 5 or 6 times. rolling on the floor laughing

When the horse throws you off, the thing to do is get back on it. Although in the case of relationships, the best approach is to get a new partner, but this time remember the things that went wrong and contemplate in what way will that knowledge enable you to make the next relationship last longer?

In short, when at first (or third) we don't succeed, try try again..
