Hi again, interesting reading the blogs...at least there are real people out there which is reassuring.Can anyone advise me. Is it quite safe to swap Skype addresses?
Not sure how it all works, can people get personal data from it? Can things like to his be passed on or is that just email and phone numbers?

Just never give them any information which is private, and you don't want in the wrong hands...or on the internet!
Dating sites such as this one are simple... You contact someone or are contacted by someone, you exchange a few mails to see whether the person is genuine. If things go well you take the next step, either meeting the person, talking on the phone or skyping.
If you want to be extra careful create an e-mail and skype address that you use only for this site, that way if things go wrong you wont have lost anything.
Eventually I did create a skype account as VivianLee and I've talked to a handful of people on that, especially bloggers who looked interesting and, you know, sane. I don't enjoy skype much, though. When I did get to know a guy in real life through here he had known me for so long as Vivian that he called me that as often as not. It added a certain level of unreality to the whole friendship, must be said.
