Just thinking aloud
Just recently, there was an increase in people with student visas. I understand they are allowed to work for something like 28 hrs per week and hence enjoy tax free. Some come here with trainee visas. All of them young even as young as 18. Not sure if the people who contracted them are Japanese, otherwise they'll realize they're not helping the govt at all. Being tax free, they don't add up to the govt coffers. Aside from the fact that some if not all are juggling two jobs yet doesn't pay the proper tax perhaps. And even if they do, they are allowed to refund their contributions. Hence at the end, they've only contributed to their own pockets and pockets of their contractor. Life really sucks!
