Enjoy the ride....
Imagine you paint your old boat and decide to take it out on the lake, even though it’s a foggy day. As you steer through the fog, another boat slams into your boat damaging the new paint job.
Most of us will be furious why didn’t the person in the other boat watch where he was going? Just when we try to react in anger we realize that the other boat is actually an empty boat that is drifting.
Soon our anger disappears.

In Life we often come across people and events like empty boats.
Even if there was a person steering the other boat and he deliberately rammed our boat, his behavior had nothing to do with us and we have no control over his actions. What others do or say is done for their own reasons, and most of the time they don’t even know the reasons. They may be driven by unconscious forces of their own wounds and pains.
One thing we must always remember is that we only have control over our own boat and must not lose it. If we find it difficult to respond from an aware and empathetic place, we must always steer clear.
Ramming back at an empty boat will only ruin the paint bit more.!!!

I offered today some cherries to someone = emptying my boat from some cherries
but got no reply = means yes or no or what = not filling self-centered boat of someone with cherries = not sinking, because not filled with me!
Then think of it as you offered cherries to an empty boat.
I don't mind some cherries as I know yours are definitely organic.
but it does not help against the brandnew asian fruitfly. it shows up when the fruit is ripe. so u cannot spray.
I sprayed them, but still they r infested more or less.
however there r so many cherries in this dry year that a high percentage is good, if u do not wait too long with picking.
next 3 or 4 years may just be disastrous again.
Don't worry about next few years now itself. Enjoy the good harvest this year.

all what is left r the big farmers, subsidized by EU money, leasing and buying what they can get and want.
they even get money for doing something good to the environment, but don't...
their employees, hundreds of them, picking strawberries e.g., r polish or romanian during the season, and probably soon the new refugees from out of the Mediterranean Sea, Syria, Iraq, Africa.

Love the boat hypothetical but let's say your driving your car and get some reckless road rager who deliberately rams the back of your car..
Would you just get a tin a paint out ??..

I think a little scratch on the paint can be fixed easily enough. I always try to avoid the empty vessels floating around without any steering.
Let them find their own way and stay on a path that makes yourself happy.
