women seeking rich older men to pay their universi

It's been euphemistically referred to as "mutually beneficial, transactional dating" but is the growing world of "sugar daddy" relationships just a sanitised term for sex work?
Freya is 22 and wearing jogging bottoms and a tatty T-shirt. She expresses herself unaffectedly and confidently.
She decided to start sleeping with older men for money while she was at university. "I love sex," says Freya. "And you know, I'm pretty good at it. So getting a sugar daddy - or two - was a no-brainer really."

VivianLee,

At least she was an honest gold digger laugh

PS I'm gonna have to charge you an advertising fee for that last statement ! laugh
Zman,
I was young ! I needed the money. innocent
rapture,
Its hard to argue with that logic, wine
Not to mention arguing with a pretty face wink
Non, how about royalties, rather than a flat fee? cool
If all parties can live with it and are ok with it then i guess its up to them. I do however think that at 22 years of age the lady involved may not realise how this may affect her future. Sure she may be quite happy now,but in years to come she may deeply regret going down this road. Or not dunno Said sugar daddies wont be around or concerned if her decisions come back to haunt her in later life...I think.conversing
VivianLee,
Your a shrewd Lady handshake laugh
twazzle,
How are you mate.
That is a great point you make. It is very wise to consider our future,
But You and I both know that young people have eternally short sighted optimism. cheers

I dare say it has Non,somewhere out there on this planet of ours.... Rather an awkward script i would think...For both parties..uh oh
Twazzle,
Truth is stranger than fiction my friend wow
Luke be careful they can claim to be perpetual students for life.

But having said that, aren't we all. The difference is they don't need that money for that purpose but to build for a comfortable life all money can provide that suits the hedonistic tendencies of monied old men.
lindsyjones
perpetual students. laugh
That's a blog topic in itself.
Exactly, like they're out casted if such a demeanor is permeated.. the old world where hypocrisy and for lack of a better word, bigotry is practiced. .like the old catholic preaching the need to believe in God yet the very source of menace that cripples the society they are bound to protect.
Frankly I'd rather see these acts of narcissism upfront so deceit is eliminated than an angel robed in wool with the devil's concessions.
By the way Non,

this whole deal of women seeking older men to pay their university fees and bills? Is it against any Penal Codes or anything? Just wondering, see --> confused
laugh
lindsyjones,

"Frankly I'd rather see these acts of narcissism upfront so deceit is eliminated than an angel robed in wool with the devil's concessions."

I agree with that, very well put.
lind
Nice to see you too...hope things are good with you...wine

"I guess going to university is the excuse..."
I guess it is. well spotted. And good point thumbs up

"I often wonder why women and men are so obsessed with material possessions"
Could be as simple a reason as peer pressure, or maybe more complicated psychological issues dunno

And yes it does seem society has a new found religion,
or perhaps it is just an extension of the old one.

hi non,
this reminds me of a passage from the book The Prophet,
by Khalil Gibran... from the chapter 'On Crime and Punishment'

"... and the weak cannot fall lower than the lowest which is in you also.
And as a single leaf turns not yellow but with the silent knowledge of the whole tree,
So the wrong-doer cannot do wrong without the hidden will of you all.
Like a procession you walk together towards your god-self.
You are the way and the wayfarers.
And when one of you falls down he falls for those behind him... "

ty for your blog rose

Read the article...seems the new pope is shedding the designer frocks for a more humble attire...never knew about those red Prada shoes...lol...but a good step in the right direction...

Will do...

lindsyjones,
I like the new Photo, you look very well thumbs up
Yes very realistic approach on the realities of life lived on segments. She exposed all the necessary evils that we have to accommodate in the name of progress..

In Minnesota, I have a lot of friends who go to work there for 12 months and come home and pay their house cash and then live on good income. A very real situation that show us the motivations and interests of the people for a monetary comfort in the future.wine
Thanks non, this was just yesterday but I will get back to my older ones...wave
Hiya Non, wave I have to agree with Zman. there are enough professional bodies that offer professional qualifications than universities. They cost less time and money. If anyone wants a good education there are ways to get it. doh dunno sigh
That's what I think, too, Tango. A rather sickening position if you ask me.
Hi Ms Lindsy Jones ..Good to see you again my friend..
Yes its very sickening ain't it..These girl's might profit from doing that but i highly doubt their happy.
What ever happened to old fashion love ???.
Tangohug
tango
I don't disagree with you...at some point these women may regret their association with the trade...it seems that the attraction is about material goods in exchange for company...that said...loosely based at the expectations...but this exchange has been happening for years...do we accept it or discourage it...it is legal...no one is forced to do anything...
PS I like the term "Blairs children"
Obstinance_Works,
Thanks for that, and I see the merits of your argument thumbs up
And Blair's children is good to describe the time. But this makes it about Left and Right, about politics, which it isn't(at least not one ideology). The American had the Right in through 2000s and their Millennials are worse than Brit Millennials.

And what was Blair anyway if not Thatcherite economics plus social Liberalism with Gordon Brown and his benefit cheques? He was a mish-mash of political correctness(a.k.a Leafy suburban or cosmopolitan Leftism)and Thatcherite economics both of which, in the world of 2015, have been proved failures living on borrowed time.
Cheers, non cheers
KNenagh,
You are so right. We build our character skill sets in youth and build upon them as we go, I suppose later in life some will find they have built themselves a house of cards with no solid foundation thumbs up

Thanks for the observance wine
