{On Dualism}

Friends,
Is dualism a secret to success? The answer is {yes}, because part of the solution lies in the negative aspect of duality. Osho was the only person in the world to talk positively about dualism. As an example, he says, take {love} for instance. Then he goes on to pronounce that {love} is a by-product of hate. He clearly says that if you had not known hate, you would not have known love.Just as in mathematics,{Balance} is the solution to any problem; so be it in Nature, Cosmos, Politics, Education, Science, Philosophy, mystecism, spiritualism, etc.

What is dualism? Dualism is like a sandwich, having two slices of bread with butter, vegetables, mutton or any filling between the two slices. So the main component is not the filling, but the {two} slices of bread that creates a sandwich. If a problem is noticed, you have to study these two slices of bread individually and give equal importance to each of these slices. of course, don't give undue importance to filling for the time being.If you neglect either of them, you won't find the solution.Many examples of dualism can be given here. For instance, take Nature and its climate. Its {hot & cold}, (rain & sunshine), (storm & lull), (earthquake & stability). Now, going deeper, you will find each of these individual entities have duality embedded in them. If you take (hot & cold), in heat, there is moderately hot and severe hot; in cold, tolerable pleasant cold and intolerable dying cold. So, the magic of duality is unprecedented in everything in life. In the case of rain and sunshine, it will be pleasant rain or rain causing floods. In sunshine, it will be beautifullt warm or deadly heat, where people die of sunstrokes. In the example of (storm & lull), ther will be a mild storm or a deadly tarnado, ripping apart everything in its vicinity; in lull, there will be nothing or the silence will be deathly, that one begins to fear of an impending doom about to happen.

No one has been able to come to the ultimate truth of any {last} component of any product, concept, idea, thought etc. But on a wider scale , you can understand that {dualism} as {one} product having two components, maybe the negative and the positive which are required to produce many other multi functional products that have no ending or finality.In the case of a human also, the male has some characterics of a female and the female has some features of a male and the list goes on and on without any specific ending or absolutism. Take anything ion life and think over its duality form and you will be surprised about its overall concept, functionality, limitations and its vulnerability for consistency, sustainbility and time for survival, thereby breaking into many many other sub products to continuity.

In meditation, Osho has given us a fine example of {duality}. A new type of meditation called {gaze meditation} was taught by Osho, wheer a person meditating looks at a particular object, say a flower placed on a table. Here is how duality works. A man has to look at a flower without shifting his eyes even for a moment. After consistently watching the flower, it vanishes from the man's mind and is replaced by the person himself. This means that the man becomes the flower and the flower turns into a man; this is stark dualism at play. If you undestand duality, there is a lot of fun, besides awe, wonder and knowledge.

So, finally, it will not be wrong to assume that everything has {two} faces, although the face looks {one}. There is an English saying that {two} is a game, but {three} is a crowd. Another form of duality is called a {contrast}. A contrast is a form that chellenges the other form. For example. a black color is a good contrast for a white color; that is why {black & white} became popular brand concept. A contrast can be played in a situation also; a comical situation can be turned into a sad situation by introducing remorse.
