The Missing Person’s Department.
My cat is missing since yesterday. He went out in the late afternoon just before the rain started. It rained uninterruptedly for eight or nine hours and by the time I went to bed, he was not home yet. This morning when I woke up, he was still amiss. This is completely out of character for him. Since I had him ‘fixed’, he has not slept out once. Before that, he was a bit of a stroller. He is notorious for stowing away in cars, and it is not inconceivable that he caught a plane. It is perfectly possible that he could find himself in the USA, Scotland or even somewhere in the East this morning. If you happen to see him, please tell him to come home. I’m sorry that I gave his food to the dog.
To assist you, I’m placing one of his baby snaps (they always get more sympathy), but bear in mind that he is about two years old now. He reacts to the name Monsieur which gives him a rudimentary knowledge of French, so he may even be in Paris.
He was last seen wearing a brown corduroy pants and a tweed jacket. He does hide behind sunglasses sometimes.
And while we’re on the topic, what happened to Virgo? Next month it will be a full year since I last saw him and he used to be a very regular blogger. Can anybody cast some light there?
Have a great day. I hope you have sunshine, we only have rain.

Nothing yet.
I also harbored the thought that he may no longer be with us, but did not want to express it. It is so easy to start a rumor and then next thing he turns up again and I sit with the red face trying to explain. But I fear you could be right.
Ok, you have addressed our feared. You obviously know something that the rest of us don't know yet.
No, it is not my cat. I forgot to tell that he impersonates people very well but he is not quite this good. Sadly he is not home yet.
Are you talking about those capsules injected under the skin? He has one of those but it only serves to identify him and for that he needs to be found first. I guess satellite tracking for cats is not viable yet. At least not here.
I'm here for you cat. And Bob...
I had one cat one time return after a year or so of being gone.
Hopefully that is not the case with your cat.
BTW, I like the picture of your little fella. I have been thinking about getting another cat myself, maybe a fluffy white Persian. ....but, I am gone so often....not sure it would be a good thing for the cat.
Wish you the best with yours Cat.
I googled it and apparently you do get pet locators. It is a collar you put on the cat. I should have looked into it earlier. I found several brand names all claiming to serve more the a 150 countries.
So everybody says. I seem to be the only one that is worried. Well, majority rules. I hope you're right and I'm wrong.
No, I have been wondering about it for a long time. He used to be very regular.
I had too many cats to count. Somehow they all got done in by stray dogs. He was just at the stage where he started tolerating my 'new' dog. Anyway, if this one was also killed, it was not my dog.
