The Missing Person’s Department.

My cat is missing since yesterday. He went out in the late afternoon just before the rain started. It rained uninterruptedly for eight or nine hours and by the time I went to bed, he was not home yet. This morning when I woke up, he was still amiss.sigh

This is completely out of character for him. Since I had him ‘fixed’, he has not slept out once. Before that, he was a bit of a stroller. He is notorious for stowing away in cars, and it is not inconceivable that he caught a plane. It is perfectly possible that he could find himself in the USA, Scotland or even somewhere in the East this morning. If you happen to see him, please tell him to come home. I’m sorry that I gave his food to the dog.sad flower

To assist you, I’m placing one of his baby snaps (they always get more sympathy), but bear in mind that he is about two years old now. He reacts to the name Monsieur which gives him a rudimentary knowledge of French, so he may even be in Paris.help

He was last seen wearing a brown corduroy pants and a tweed jacket. He does hide behind sunglasses sometimes.cool

And while we’re on the topic, what happened to Virgo? Next month it will be a full year since I last saw him and he used to be a very regular blogger. Can anybody cast some light there?dunno

Have a great day. I hope you have sunshine, we only have rain.wave

Hi Cattie, your cat still not home? Don't worry, he will be back soon.comfort
Cat if you have any sewers or holes he could have gotten trapped in I would check them. Also there are many cases on record of cats missing for weeks, months or even years, suddenly showing up like they were only gone for 10 minutes. It is in the nature of a Tom to wander.
Hi Bea,
Nothing yet. sigh
Hi Music
I also harbored the thought that he may no longer be with us, but did not want to express it. It is so easy to start a rumor and then next thing he turns up again and I sit with the red face trying to explain. But I fear you could be right.sigh

@Cat I'm not trying to start a rumour. Just thoughts on what may have happened based on his blogs. As I wrote what I did, I too hoped he would prove me wrong and appear on the blogs. Let's hope he does come back. As I said we don't know if we're right or not so please no one take my word for it. I just wanted to let others know who may have been wondering about him that he may have suffered some serious health problems. It seems we may never know what happened to him being he's been gone for so long now. Let's hope he finally finished his boat and is enjoying life sailing the seas. wine
If Virgo died it must have been in the last 3 days laugh
Hey Cat, you should get an implant in your cat. Hope he returns soon for you.
Hi Z
Ok, you have addressed our feared. You obviously know something that the rest of us don't know yet.grin
doh laugh
Hi Kal
No, it is not my cat. I forgot to tell that he impersonates people very well but he is not quite this good. Sadly he is not home yet. sigh
Hi Johnny
Are you talking about those capsules injected under the skin? He has one of those but it only serves to identify him and for that he needs to be found first. I guess satellite tracking for cats is not viable yet. At least not here.doh

wave Heyyy! All Yaw.
I'm here for you cat. And Bob...hug
Okay Cat...I wasn't sure, but I thought they had tracking devices out for pets. dunno

I had one cat one time return after a year or so of being gone.

Hopefully that is not the case with your cat.

BTW, I like the picture of your little fella. I have been thinking about getting another cat myself, maybe a fluffy white Persian. ....but, I am gone so often....not sure it would be a good thing for the cat.

Wish you the best with yours Cat.
Hi Johnny
I googled it and apparently you do get pet locators. It is a collar you put on the cat. I should have looked into it earlier. I found several brand names all claiming to serve more the a 150 countries.doh

Hi Cattie, After reading the last few comments, I conclude that your cat is still philandering. He will come home when he runs out of steam.wink
Hi Bea,
So everybody says. I seem to be the only one that is worried. Well, majority rules. I hope you're right and I'm wrong.

so you just notice virgo is missing ? confused
Hi Kasih,
No, I have been wondering about it for a long time. He used to be very regular.

My cat's brother took to wandering when very young, his mum & sister were "done" by the vet but he became too unreliable to book him in for the op doh anyway his trips got longer & longer till one day he stopped returning at all moping that was till 8 years later when he waltzed in like nothing had happening & sat waiting for his dinner uh oh from then on he popped in every few months for a couple of days but haven't seen him for around 2 years now, his sister misses him sigh
Kal, it means what it says, he was very much alive as recently as 3 days ago, though I haven't spoken to him as it would seem he is exercising his right not to be here with us, I expect like many have in the past he may pop up unexpectedly.
Hi Z
I had too many cats to count. Somehow they all got done in by stray dogs. He was just at the stage where he started tolerating my 'new' dog. Anyway, if this one was also killed, it was not my dog.
cheers wave
