Moved in with the neighbor
I took you in when you were starving, gave you a home and put food on the table. When you were sick and injured I comforted you and paid your medical bills, I even got you a passport. We had some good years together with lots of caresses and cuddles and even though at times you took up most of the room on the bed I didnt mind.
When you started spending the odd night away, I understood, when you disappeared for days at a time I was never concerned until the day about a year ago when you didnt return home, I was fraught with worry.
Then last night when I saw you on the corner of the street, I stopped the car and called your name, but you walked away from me. As you stood before the door waiting to be let in we chatted and I caressed you. I was pleased to see you looked healthy and well fed. Drop by the house sometime I said, we all miss you my dear cat Paco.

I suspect there are at least 2 other people in my area who think they own my cat.
Does your neighbour have other cats? We had a lot of cats on the farm and even though some got bullied, they always came home. Maybe the company always brought them back?
I will not be able to wait a year or more before I can replace my cat. When the cat is away, the mouse will play. My cat has been away for only two days and already I heard a mouse fiddling under the fridge.
I need a cat.
At least! You have seen your cat. And he is doing fine without you now. Some cats will grow up and move out. Become more independent! And give back to their community.
He might even have seen Catfoot/ Bob, cat somewhere....
Word On The Streets, In The USA.
Catfoot! Cat won the lottery. And has moved on with his life......
I remember my mother having this one particular male cat who she called Crazy Cat.
One day he was gone for several days and when he returned my mother saw that he had been in a fight.Well she looked at him and asked him "Well Crazy Cat was it worth it?"
There is a teenage kitten next door who has taken over my dog's kennel. She has no fear and when walking outside passed the slatted gate she pauses to hook her claw through, hiss and calmly stroll on by.
Gutsy Bonny. I don't know what is so great about my garden except that it has an angry dog in it.

Does she get a lot of beatings? At least you know she is alive.
