Movie Review - Because I Said So
Last night I watched another movie I had not seen, nor heard of prior. I chose it, because Diane Keaton has been one of my favorite actresses. Whether matched with Woody Allen or Jack Nicholson, she has delivered terrific performances, perfectly blending comedy with drama and effectively dancing on the line between each. Again, she had her game on in this movie. Indeed, she was wonderful as Daphne, an over protective and intrusive mother, who decides to take charge of her daughter's screwed up love life.Despite being technically a chick flick, focusing on the relationship of Daphne and her daughters, complete with weddings and a salon scene, this movie was chock full of excellent acting and hilarious comedy, that will appeal to both sexes. Both pretty Mandy Moore and Lauren Graham gave very good performances as two of the daughters. My main complaint is that NJ's own gorgeous Piper Perabo was under utilized. The dog, however, got a great role. laugh
