I did it again

"Arms in the hand of the citizen may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny, or private self defense." John Adams, 2nd US President

Or just having fun in the backyard.

Actually I made 4 videos today, but for some weird reason my pocket camera only photographed two of them, and only video'd two of them. So this next one will seem to be out of sequence and I will re-do what preceded it tomorrow. I am shooting more or less empty cans of spray paint. The cans are steel, but the scrap yard won't take steel aerosol cans unless they have been punctured first. As you will see, not all of the cans are quite empty. If anyone is wondering, yes, all 4 of them were hit (some twice), but only one was still pressurized enough to show it.

Here is video #3 filmed today.

I will redo the missing videos (#s 2 and 4) tomorrow, weather permitting.

In lighter news, I don't know what's up with the deer out here today. I saw several walking around today, but as you can see, they aren't making much of a dent in the raspberries this year. Usually they get them all in just a day or two, but there are tens of thousands of them still untouched.

They call to me.

So I picked until i got bored. I should put a sign at my driveway I think. "Raspberries, all you can pick for $4."

Problem is if the people driving by live on this road, there yard probably looks exactly the same, so why pay money for what is free at home? moping

This was my boredom point today.

Ken, the only sound recorded on your videos that I like is the chirping sound of the birds.. cool
Hey, save some of the berries for me, will you! Pretty puuhhhlissss! cowboy
Hi Ken,

Heck, I ate a bunch of Raspberries and Boysenberries today, and afterwards downed them all with a pint of Chocolate milk. Whew! That mixture got me back to being regular again. lol laugh Works better than laxatives. Funny, when I first heard of laxatives, I thought they were for making people relax. uncertain rolling on the floor laughing

Okay, just joking about all this. I like your blog. Have a cool bright fun day! cheers
Nice to hear your voice. More people should post videos, hope this starts a trend.

I have gooseberries. Will be making Eve's Pudding with gooseberries today or tomorrow - steam the gooseberries, then put them in a bowl and top with Victoria sandwich cake mix, bake, turn out, eat with cream in a state of bliss. Yum.
Elegsabiff - Thanks. I thought about it, then said why not? I can't Skype, but I can put videos out there, that I can do. I am learning I am camera shy and nervous in front of my own camera. I never knew that about myself. Then the problem became what kind of video? Me playing with the cat? Some do do that on You Tube, but generally, who watches those? Boring. So I figured why not a bunch of 1 or 2 minute videos about some of my safe queens? Hopefully these are more interesting than a video of me riding a tractor in a circle.
Please return my 45 when you done playing around...thumbs up cheers
We are circling the airport right now. I am out of cleaning patches. Thought I had another box of them, but can't find it so I am deciding which T-shirts have passed their time..
Well a lot of yesterday was spent cutting 3 torn T shirts into little 2 inch squares. But two coffee cans full of them later, I finally felt I had enough to proceed. laugh

This is not one of the dropped videos, but I decided to make it anyway as long as I was out there doing stuff. First filmed yesterday I did not catch the tripod was sitting too low until after the video was made.

Here I discovered the tripod issue and fixed it.

The Webley MK VI .455 was adapted by the British in 1915 and remained in service as a limited standard item through the 1970s.

America however was trying to move in a different direction in WW I.

Worth adding I think. The 1911 and 1911a1 (minor cosmetic changes in 1922) served as the official primary US Military sidearm of all services from 1911 through 1984. Although dropped as the official Service pistol in 84, Special Operations units continued to prefer it as did the US Marines once they had a chance to compare the 'new' 9mm's effectiveness on enemy troops and experienced malfunctions of the 9mm. In fact this year the USMC officially re-adopted the Colt .45 pistol as their new service pistol and are phasing out their M9 Berettas. The US Army and the US Air Force have also stated they too will be phasing out their M9 pistols and have announced a solicitation for alternative pistol types. At the same time the US military has announced that as the US is not a signatory to the 1899 Hague Convention barring expanding ammunition, such use by US forces is permitted when the US deems it appropriate.

But of course, like every country, WW I caught the US by surprise and we were not prepared for it.

So it has been fun making these. I am learning as I go about shooting video with a pocket camera. I do wish my little waterproof pocket camera had zone focus, and image stabilization, but I guess there is a limit to what one can fit into a 3 inch x 2 inch x 1/2 inch camera.

A noticeable limitation on making videos with a pocket digital camera is battery life. I am noticing filming a minute of video saps more battery power than taking 100 photos.

Luke, are you done playing with MY .45 yet? laugh
