what is a true man ? what is a true woman?
I have read some time ago an opinion from a shaman woman , she said something like: relationships have never been so dysfonctional because men are no longer true men anymore and women no more true women anymore, it is all mixed up nowadays and this why it is the mess!what is a true man ? what is a true woman? everybody seems to have its own opinion on the question...what is yours?
I have no definite opinion on the question I think we are in a transition phase and everything is changing....

a "true" woman a nurturer and home maker.
now....
That does not mean that is what I expect in a relationship today. I am open to respect another's way of living...as long as it works for both parties in the relationship. My past relationship, we shared in all the duties and it worked out fine. We both provided, we both protected, we both nurtured and we were both home makers. But...in the grand design of the human being, I believe the initial statement to be correct. I am willing to be open to anyone's opinions...not saying mine is the gospel.
In my parent's day, their roles were simplified. They knew what was expected of them.
Today, I actually feel sorry for the men. They can't see where they are, so feel less secure in initiating anything.
I quote:
"To me a "true" man is a provider and protector.
a "true" woman a nurturer and home maker."
Yes, to some extent but women have become more independent these days and also speak for themselves and do not seem to need a man to provide and protect them .
Although the "nurturing" is part of the feminine aspect.
As for myself, I have always been nurturing by nature, I have my yin and yang energies well balanced, do not really need a man to protect me but... it would be nice at times to have a man who is a MAN, who can make decisions, who has guts to speak for himself and maybe show some care, compassion & protection if I need it.
Emotional reaction, warmth, apprehension, sensitivity, deference, and nurturing are feminine.
In the media-looming US I'd say 1 in 3 are feminine men or masculine women. In Britain, 1 in 5. And then the normalcy of humanity is gradually restored the further away from American culture you are.
everything is changing and yet one thing seems constant...
in my experience, a true man is one who is true to himself, following his life path, guided by the whisperings of his heart
it is the same for a woman
