Does It Really Happen In Threes?
This morning I woke up to a cat pawing my face. Knowing that I don’t have a cat anymore, I realized that I was dreaming, I shoved him off the bed and went back sleeping.
When I was pawed in the face a second time, I woke up properly… and there was my lost cat. Incessantly moaning, jumping off the bed, walking to the door, and coming back to lament some more. And I realized that he wants his food.
Grumpily I got up, dressed, gave him some of his favorite dry cat food, and tried to make a cup of coffee. He sat their next to his bowl with an attitude of who’s going to eat this shit? Only then, I noticed how skinny he is. And his left ear is broken and torn. Grudgingly, I cut off a piece of steak from the meat I defrosted for the barbecue today. He devoured it in no time and I had to give him another piece.
But that cat is not the only thing that came back. Last night in the bath, I discovered that the wart I had removed about six weeks ago also appears to be coming back. It is still a bit small to be sure, but it seems that way.
If things really happen in threes, I’m in trouble. I have lost nothing else. All that can still come back to me is one of my ex wives.
Heavens behold! I’ll sue my lawyer for malpractice if it happens.

I take my iPad. in the Shower,I have a special waterproof bag with three seals to keep the iPad dry!
However, it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one.....

And now the dog is annoyed. They were just about to accept each other when the cat left.
He can be lucky that I did not bolt his cat door. I meant to lock it the other day, but I forgot. I'll see about the kitten. If they don't get along, I'll find somebody else to take him off my hands.
So the cat came back...but not the very next day...but glad he is still alive and wanting you to be his servant...lol...
PS give him a bath with a good cat shampoo and brush him down. He will appreciate it.
PPS Cat doors are a problem in this area. Other critters too, from snakes to baby bears have been known to use them, so I don't have one.
Keep your eyes open Cat, and the doors unlocked. It happens in threes and I am sure about that.

Yes, he's back, but he went out a while ago. I hope he returns again. I had a few guests for lunch and he was not very happy with all the people around.
He has always been a bit of a stroller. That is why I had him 'fixed'. He stopped roaming to a large extend since then... until he disappeared.
Oh well he is back. I hope he will stay now.
Maybe my third mishap has arrived as well. Biff reminded me of an old blog spoiler who made a house call after a long absence and Hans suggested that I may recover my mind since losing it some time ago.
So I may be indemnified against further disaster.
And another thing! After your cat left you for to be elsewhere. Having a good time! Spending money on other people. Drinking and eating out. Partying! You take this cat back in after all this cat have left you alone. Annnnd! You feed this cat a steak!

It is not save here to leave doors open and it is too cold at the present time to leave windows open, but we have a wonderful innovation here called cat doors. It was discussed a few times in previous blogs and also in a previous comment here. My can can come and go as he pleases.
Regarding the kitten, I stated it clearly in a previous blog (comment) that I will not be taking one of the kittens that Bea can get. Instead I chose a kitten from a litter of my current cat's mother. Only a day or two ago I mentioned that I will only be getting my new kitten in three or four weeks.
And about leaving the kitten 'hanging'; it was also discussed in earlier comments in this blog.
Re feeding the cat with two morsels of steak; I have a freezer full of kudu meat since returning from my kudu hunt. I often give my animals raw meat.
