Why This Grandma Runs Into the Rain
Getting caught in the rain always seems like such a hassle. Just yesterday, I got soaked to the bone walking in the rain. As I sat in my car, with my hair dripping down my face, and my soaked clothes clinging to my skin, I couldn't have been more annoyed. At the time, I felt like the rest of the day was ruined -- but after watching this video, I don't know why. The rain didn't hurt me, and it didn't ruin my clothes; it just made my curly hair a little more frizzy than usual.When you think about the battles that people are fighting daily, having the chance to get caught in the rain is a blessing, not a curse. In this short film titled "Light Rain," a little girl begs her mom to run in the rain. At first, the mom refuses her request, not wanting to get wet -- but then the little girl says something that reminds us just how important it is to not take life for-granted. The next time I'm caught in the rain, I'll smile, and remember just how lucky I am.
