"ON THE ROAD AGAIN"..(7)

As Of Now Im Still Waiting On ALoad That Will Take me out Into The Midwest Area Once Again
While Im Waiting..There Are Some Things That Are seen out There That I havnt seen before
Such As
While Parked And On my 10 Hour break
I saw To Crows(Standing Face To Face)
The One On The left Bends Down(Still On His feet(And Puts his Head Sideways On the Ground..Then Stands up sdtraight Once Again As The Other Crow Watched
Then The The One Who Was Watching..Does The Exact Same Thing
They Stare At Each other For a moment
Then they Flew away
Im Sure They were communicating
But im left To Wonder What They Were Saying...............................

If this is a "real" thing and not here for comedy comments....I am interested but actually still interested inc the comedy! Really like to study animals, especially birds and can read some of their actions. The hard part in figuring out your crow comment is this: crows are rarely observed around where I live! Their numbers have dwindled since the West Nile took out a bunch so to see one or more is a reason for excitement! I may find out from some other conservationists at Mo Conservation Dept...will let you know.

My guess is it's a ritual of dominance. Chickens do something similar to establish a pecking order. One chicken will stand tall and face another chicken and the other chicken will do the same. The one who stands taller wins and gets to eat etc first.

On An Average Week
And getting About 6 miles to the gallon(Tractor trailer)
I Go Trhough About 200 Gallons Of Diesel A Week
Multiply That by 52 weeks And Thats 10,400 Gallons A year
And All The other trucks?
never mind All The other vehicles out There World Wide
Thats Why I Wonder
Is There really That much Oil In The earth?
One day it Will All be gone
Then What????????????...............

Its a HUGEEEE amount, then theres gasoline LPG also on top, thats just usa, think of the whole world and the consumption of fuel is immense!...not to mention the pollution from the fumes

Just readin OOby's story...narrow escape for sure! ::wow:

Now have to say that the project of finding out about crow body language has turned into Pandora's Box of complications.

:I assumed that Mo Conservation would be THE place to ask...well, all the naturalists are on vacation this week, so next place was Southeast Missouri University in the Biology Dept, Ornithology professors all gone on summer break, can't be contacted for 2 more weeks. In desperation, turned to the web and Googled "Crow Body Language", which brought me some handy lessons on learning to speak the crow language of "cawing"..lol!! Well, I am still on the project! You may need to go without any answer for awhile but it is now something that I too NEED TO KNOW...persuing and gonna get an answer somewhere!
