Most of us are here for the social interaction.
I was just feeling a little funny about liking being responded to,
even if I didn't feel my contribution warranted to reply.
I process a lot of those little discomforts with humor.
It's nice when people do respond but it's not the end of the world if they ignore you either!
What I find confusing is when there are so many responders on one blog and the poster is trying to keep up with about 30 conversations and questions etc. I mean, it must take half a day to reply to them all. So in that respect, popularity on the blogs must be a pain in the neck for some!
May I have my participation trophy now please?

There is no way I'd be able to pull that off for long.
I'm not even half the social.
I think some people do participate just to be heard, without really caring to listen to the input of others. I'm guilty of that a lot in the forums. I drop a comment and leave the thread.

We call them participation trophies
It's a thing we do here.
I'm not sure how widespread the practice has become other places though.
