Bali, friends, new journey

I got a job offer in Bali. A job in a field that I have no knowledge nor experience about. Marketing manager of a resort. The owner a couple I know long time ago since 2000, but never really been friends nor hang out together. We just accidentally meet in some art performance, connected on facebook, and commented on each other's status from time to time. I asked them why they offered me this job knowing I have no background in this fields. They said it's a new business and none of them have experience. They want to start from zero with a team which they think can be solid and grow together. They choose me because they like my attitude towards life, my view on traveling, my perspective toward differences. They think I am what they need. They choose me to grow with them.

It's good knowing there are people who trust you when you have doubt in yourself. Maybe it's time for me to stop grieving over my loss and failure and start fresh in a new place, new environment, new field.

I remember my mom always tell us, her kids, to be good, do good, no matter what, to anyone, anywhere, and never expect anything in return. You never know what will happen, you never know who would help you when you are in need. After all we are all strangers, but at the same time we are all human beings, regardless anything, except your humanity.

I have no idea what I'm writing here, just overwhelmed with the opportunity. I'm flying to Bali tomorrow and if things go well with everything, I will move to Bali. And maybe, if there will be a CS gathering in Indonesia, we could do it in Bali, I will give you a good rate :)

See you soon!

I am happy for you hug ... I think this opportunity could also create a bit of anxiety as it is all new for you... maybe make a list of critical anchors... such as support there and access to your family and so forth to ensure all your questions are answered and also to put you in a space to find your feet as soon as possible. Best of luck ... you go girl ... bouquet
Nothing we can't learn as long as we are eager to work hard. And put this new field to motivate you in getting new experience for your riches of knowledge and being success... Good luck my dear friend..

Wow! I understand Bali is really lovely and is filled with artisans! It sounds like an exciting opportunity Sara.

I so hope things go well and work out! A new beginning like that doesn't come around every day.

Why would you eveñ entertain the thought of uprooting all your life's for start up position, in which, the owners don't even know what they're doing???
