Money, Money, Money

Never been able to keep a penny in the bank, always found when I had a bit of spare cash, either a bill came in for the same amount or the money just seemed to flow through my fingers with nothing to show for it.

How good are you with money?

I am terrible with money. I would experience the same thing, have extra money... hello bill! Or flat tire, or heat pump needs replaced, etc., etc. sigh frustrated
Mmm, bad planning wink ... I do everything only if I have cash to pay for it... no cash, then I go without what ever I wanted to buy... Will work my cute but off ... took me six months to pay off my house... but for years I stayed in small places to be able to buy that house...
Nothing in my house goes wasted... I will not buy something unless it is not really needed. Food gets eaten and the last drop of shampoo will be used before I buy a new bottle... so, I suppose I am a bit stingy... but I know the value of having cash...
Learned from a young age on how to handle money.

I always make sure I have money saved for a rainy day or my check is ever late.

I only have one bill so it makes it easy to stick to a budget.
I live on a budget. Well, I say I live on a budget. Spent 3 years not living within my budget, there was always something, helloooo savings ... sigh

Better now that I am earning a regular salary, because I am still bending every penny until it squeaks out of habit and delighted to find actual money left over at the end of every month! It won't last ...
Crowd funding seems to be the answer, just come up with idea & thousands will send you money dancing ....... doesn't seem to matter whether you know how to make your idea work uh oh doh grin
Ok Z, you fund the crowd and I'll take the profits.applause
Wait till you get ill and need items to make life easier... Then your needs become more expensive than ever anticipated...moping
Sola, it's so EASY for blokes, just find a rich older woman and marry her. Problem solved.

I'll set up an introduction or two for a small finder's fee, but don't let me down here. Deal?
It's all fine and well if you have the money to begin with but there are lots of people who just about manage to get by on what they earn. Saving is not an option for them.
I always try to pay my bills on time. I hate owing money.
She may not be a looker ... wow

We all talk endlessly about our expectations, I met a really nice guy in Spain living the dream and funding it by having 17 properties in the UK which he lets out.

We lot wouldn't have looked at him twice - pale freckled skin, slightly popping eyes, no chin to speak of and decidedly portly. Oh, and married, happily, to a nice woman who had the sense to look past the surface and sign him up twenty or more years ago.

Made me think, that did.

Couple of rich older women... sheech! I'm nearly 60... how much older are these birds going to be?

Er - 70? tops. uh oh Promise. And still full of vim and vigour, or I know one who likes ballet and opera and going on cruises. Didn't think she was your type, somehow. You'd have to read poetry to her ...
Most of us have a love/hate relationship with money. Love when it comes it; hate to see it go out especially on things like repairs which are always so costly. My biggest expense is travel, but it's so much fun that I just can't quit!
It's ok Sol, I am selling my house and moving into an apartment. I will have lots of cash available when the sale goes through!! Still interested?rolling on the floor laughing
And now I have to go back to writing my best-seller, darlings. Just think, you'll be able to say you knew me when I was poor and struggling and unknown.

You probably shouldn't hold your breath, though. writing

Sure, sure, I'll remember you all. liar

And I shall never be old. smoking snooty
Money comes, money goes. It often isn't that important to me. I have had several occasions in my life when the bank account which currently has about $2 in it had well over (at least once way, way over) $100,000 in it. It tends to evaporate as life occurs. Not focusing on it seems to be the best way of having enough.
$2 Ken?? You will have no chance with Sol!!laugh
majority of the nembers here have no money and are on the look out for someone rich to bail them out from tneir miserable conditions...

Incredible as it may seem but you are right in what you say. Each time I am in the supermarket noone seems to pay with cash even if the amount is under a 5 bucks.
