To be totally honest I never ask a question on my first date. Usually if we get along (yes they usually do..
as for myself ,I always would like to know what a woman does for a living.
I m in my later 50s, and have spoke to a few of the younger neighbors daughters,(who have tried dating sites, ) and could not believe the way a lot of men have spoken to these young ladies,
Truly believe being honest, and polite sure doesn t hurt any situation.
I'm a bit of a failure as a woman, I think. I prefer straight talk to polite bs, even when bs is so much more socially acceptable.
I agree, politeness goes a long way.

I agree that candor and honesty are great, I just wouldn’t it put so bluntly, especially on a first date. Now, I can understand if these questions are going through his mind, just not stated aloud.

I've always found that song so depressing.
Of course this was a 4th date, so I guess that question doesn't belong here.
