To be totally honest I never ask a question on my first date. Usually if we get along (yes they usually do.. )things just naturally flow without any awkward questions being asked by either party. Maybe I'm just lucky but then again many guys go out for a mere 'wham bam thank you ma'am' date which requires certain questions being asked and answered..
as for myself ,I always would like to know what a woman does for a living. Its a good conversation starter, and it tells a lot about a person.(and it gives me a hint on what subjects I should avoid, before I stick my foot in my mouth, )
I m in my later 50s, and have spoke to a few of the younger neighbors daughters,(who have tried dating sites, ) and could not believe the way a lot of men have spoken to these young ladies, , and then again I couldnt believe some of the nonsense I was fed by a few women I ve met.
Truly believe being honest, and polite sure doesn t hurt any situation.
I'm a bit of a failure as a woman, I think. I prefer straight talk to polite bs, even when bs is so much more socially acceptable.
I agree, politeness goes a long way.
Elegsabiff,
I agree that candor and honesty are great, I just wouldn’t it put so bluntly, especially on a first date. Now, I can understand if these questions are going through his mind, just not stated aloud.
What did you say? I'm so nosy ...
I said sure, why not, if John Lennon and Yoko could do it...
Wow. Bold question and bold answer.
Elegsabiff,
Yes, I can see how those questions can save time.
Pedal,
when she is comfortable, same as myself.
how many friends are following the date?
Good questions. But she better not get on her phone. That is so rude.
mjpd67,
I've always found that song so depressing.
Of course this was a 4th date, so I guess that question doesn't belong here.
