Movie Review - My Best Friend's Girl
I just got done watching one of the funniest movies to come out in years. 'My Best Friend's Girl' stars Dane Cook as a professional jerk. He's hired by other guys to date their ex-girlfriends. That way, after going out on a date with Dane, they come running back to the original guy. Things get very complicated, however, when his wussy housemate/cousin hires him in an effort to restore his relationship with a coworker (Kate Hudson). I won't ruin the story for you, but this movie ends up rivaling another movie quoted in this movie, 'When Harry Met Sally', for romantic hi-jinks and laughs.Dane does an very believable and wonderful job as the jerk and Alec Baldwin does a terrific job (typecast ?) as the jerk's father and counsel. I rate it as a solid 8 1/2 stars out of 10 and will eventually be ranking it somewhere in my list of favorite 100 movies of all time. Perhaps around number 30 - 50, or so. I highly recommend that you see it, if you haven't already done so.
