You must like your own company, scenery etc to do such a job.
Well done you drive safely
Do you remember Harry Chapin?
Driving a car..He Was drunk out of his Mind
Drove The wrong way on The highway And Went head On Into A Tractor trailer ..And That Was The End Of Harry
But Wenny
What if He drove Straight into a Car Instead That Had A family In it?
Ohio Alone Is Just Shy Of 1000 Highway deaths For This Year
And None of Those deaths Were With A tractor trailer
I Wonder how Many Innocent People Were Killed By These Cars?
Everything has got To Do With Time
Were made to Be The bad guys because were Big And Were dangerous
And When There Is An Accident With A truck driver
Its Publicized To The high heavens
Car Accidents?...Nahh..Run of The Mill Everyday stuff(You hardly hear About it)
Without Truck Drivers
Most people Do Not Have a Job
Truck drivers Are The economy
We Dont get The recognition And we arent respected
And Underpaid To Boot.....................
Over The Road drivers Are home 52 days out of 365 Days A year
You people Ought To try That On For Size..........
Just The Facts....................
This has happened without most people just taking it for granted too.
They Weigh Our
Back Wheels Of The trailer(NO More Than 34000 LBS}
Our Drives(Back Wheels Of Tractor)(No More Than 34000 LBS)
Our steers(Front tires of tractor(No More Than 12000 LBS)
Our Trailers slide Back and forth Over The back tires of trailer
And Thats how we transfer weight from back To front
Not To mention The Time We have to Take(That Were not getting Paid for)To Go Some where and Pay 10.50 Cents to get The truck weighed
and if Its Over here or There?
More Time To Waste rearranging The Trailer Once again and weighing it Once again
We Have to watch out For going Under bridges
anything Under 13 Feet 6 Inches And we cant go That Way
Ever try to back up With 53 feet of trailer behind you?
Its a real fun Job.................
Its a hard life out there Nam
Tough Lady
Ill try to stay alive............
Its bad Enough driving On "ICEY ROADS"
No way Am I Doin That Stuff
My Heart Would give out before The truck Ever fell through The Ice.....................................................................................
I Got To Hit The Road
Remember
"Be kind To Your web Footed friends"
"For a duck Could be Somebodys Mother"
(This Was sung at The End of "Sing Along with Mitch")
And
"Happy trails To You"
"Keep smiling On Your Way"
"Happy trails To You"
"Until We Meet again"
(This was sung at The End Of "Roy Rodgers And Dale Evans Show)
And Of Course
"Good Night Mrs. Calabash".."Wherever You are"
(Jimmy Durante Would say This at The End Of Each Of His Shows)
................
The roads were good, the weather was good, but that seemed to bring out the idiot drivers, I couldn t believe the speeding, unsafe passing, texting.... Made me think ,you truckers have a lot tougher job than most people realize, If its not one thing its another.
You have a Safe trip there Bud,
