Frankenstein moments
Those moments where suddenly everything changes. You know the type I mean? I call them Frankenstein because when the good doctor watched his creation lurch off to the village he would have had that ohhhhhhhhh nooooo momentI've had a few and man they are bad. When you get a brilliant job, your boss takes you away on a business trip to meet the clients and you're talking about business over dinner and - yikes. He's suddenly not interested in business. ohhhhhhhhhhhh noooooooooo. You look back over the conversations and suddenly realize you missed signals and warning signs ..
Inviting someone to spend Christmas with your family, that happened once, and then they say something so bigoted and stupid and moronic and you don't know how to withdraw the invitation because you hadn't realized what a total zonk they are ... that's not this Christmas. But it did happen once. NIGHTMARE. Backing off and dancing away was stressful.
Ever had one?

talk you out of it.
Am I the only person who consistently fails to realize what people are really like? Bummer!
Just put it down to a big heart
Scary when you try logic and the person looks at you with bland mad eyes and heads straight on their chosen path to ultimate destruction ...
okay that's imagination kicking in again. I HAVE TOO MUCH IMAGINATION.
fairsane lady.Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
still doesn't count as a Frankenstein moment, though. If they had said okay girls, up to the room with you, that's a Frankenstein moment, realizing what you had been saying and thinking was completely not what they were saying and thinking ...
I am of course assuming going to the room was not on your minds
(cough) groupies! (cough cough)
There now you have seen my mind. Like a kitchen sink. Ohhhhhhhhhh noooooo
So far it does look like I'm the only one who wears rose-tinted spectacles until they suddenly turn black
I just went to the craft fair. Picked up the last few presents and came straight home.
The city is looking lovely with all the lights, but everybody is just scuttling along with their heads down just wanting to be home.
I hope for the retailers sake that it dries up before Christmas or they'll have a bad season.
Secret Santa gift to get for the office, though. And I should probably buy some Christmas cards and get them sent out. They've started popping through the door.
Does NOT feel like Christmas yet.
Ss for cards, I have cut them down to people who live far away. And no, I haven't sent them yet..
All Europe.
They'll get them when they least expect them so

when I had that job in Kolkata foure years back, I had some fun moments too...
-had heard about those king-cobras, and asked a guy how fare I had to go if I wanted to see one... ohhh, they are arround, he answered.
-On my evening walk along the ponds down to the main road, not too much light, I suddely saw the tail of a looong black "thing" just leaving the road... I walked wery carefull in the middle of the road after that...
-and one morning I was down at the pool before anyone else to hae a swim before leaing for work. Still remember the "poolguy" had told us to stay away until he had checked things first.
-but everything looked nice, so I was just about to jump in. -last second I saw somthing mooving strait below me.... -offcourse, another unknown snake had enjoied the pool at night. I still remember me almoust lost balance on the pooleside, waving feverish to avoid falling in....
