hubba-hubba...blushing

our menu is mostly based on pork ...so Im guessing its gonna be a quarter of a piglet ,salad, soup ,cake ...and vino( wine) ...
Desert looks good C.H.dancing ....Nothing on my plate yet im afraidmoping
That looks great, CH!

I am going to have free-range duck instead of the traditional turkey this year.
Served with a combination of fresh local veg, roast potatoes, and home-made plum sauce.

I'll make butternut squash soup for starters.

And for dessert, I will have a chocolate 'plum pudding' and also a trifle for those who like it.

I am trying to make it all myself, and as fresh and tasty as possible grin
Well....doh ....while you guys will be slaving away in a hot kitchen....i'll be lying on a beach....food will be served...no washing up....no uninvited guests....no boring films to watch...cheering cheering cheering cheering cool

What's your favorite Christmas dinner? I'm sure you used to cook a lot.

Yes CH Years a go I used to cook a lot.

Now I just buy a whole chicken put it in a slow cooker and roast it,with some kind of potato and stuffing and veggies.
You are absolutely correct! Again!!

Any color will do!! With designs and patterns or whatever!!
CC,

If it's just me, I would usually invite friends and have a fun party or join some friend's party...

But this time is special, I'm having someone special...for a change and I'm going to need all my cooking skills and kitchen flares for thislaugh

I do love to cook and make mess in the kitchen so I'm going to enjoy every moment of it...laugh
Cal,

Not too high!professor You won't be able to see your toes when you look downlaugh ...just high and deep enough to make their heads turn and make them wanna arrest youlaugh
Sea,

Our Filipino meatloaf is also nice...with lots of veggies, spicy and sweet...you can use pork, beef or chicken, pineapple slices, sweet peppers, will many colors will be nice, raisin, sausage, boiled eggs, minced carrots, peas, cheese, chopped onions, minced garlic, a little bit of soy sauce, brown sugar, peppers, salts and some flour and eggs to keep them together. Just mix them all together, you can wrap it in a foil and steam it or wrap it with pastry and bake it for about 40 minutes depending on how big it is...best serve with some yummy sauce or bast it from time to time while baking ( mixture of ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, pepper. salt)thumbs up
Knowing me, I may just have something from a can uh oh help
Track,

here you go....rolling on the floor laughing

I will be working but the hospital will be supplying us with turkey dinner...not the most tastiest but with some hot sauce...and a little salt and pepper...it will be palatable...lol...wine laugh
Mine would be a simple braai (barbecue), a few glasses of vinho...
We're in peak summer here, so average temps are 30deg C.
I stroll around only in skimpy shorts...innocent
Oh yeah...Christmas again. sigh
moping
Probably the usual...
Pick up a bottle of Mad Dog. drinking
Maybe Wild Irish Rose...you know...special occasion & all. drinking
Stop by the Mission...see what kinda soup they're putting out.
You know. The usual. sigh

moping
wow wow some good grub there but you will have swollen belly if you eat all that and those red nicks wont fitgrin
Well I like baked potatoes with sour cream and butter.
Cranberry sauce is kind of a must for the turkey.

Brussels sprouts or asparagus or spinach for my greens.

What is a turkey without some Pepperidge Farm (lazy bachelor these days) instant stuffing?

Peach pie, or a lemon meringue pie. ( will pass on the pumpkin pie.

Fruit cake of course. There is a Trappist Monastery down the road a few miles from me where all year round the monks make fruit cakes and jams to sell. It is always good.

Rolls, we need to add some buttered rolls to this as an appetizer.

Egg Nog. What's Christmas without egg nog? A little nutmeg sprinkled on top too for the visual..

What time should we all be there?
wow!!! you are like a PRO-chef!!!

I wish I can cook like in ur LISTS.

I am not good in cooking but I can do. I am enthusiastic when eating laugh
