99% of the time what you are worrying about never happens at all.
If you worry then pick up the phone and phone someone you are close to and talk about it. Don't attempt to go it alone.
Also doing something to take your mind off of your troubles helps. Go for a walk, take a drive or do some exercise.
As for me I have a strong belief in God so prayer works miracles in my life. But I realize that faith is not for everyone.
Stay away from drugs, pills or alcohol, they will just compound the problem.
I hope that things get better for you in time.
If you need to know more please feel free to contact me ok?
You have to change youre mindset,,to really understand that anxiety and worry are so draining and pointless,,no amount of worrying will change any outcome of anything.
Whatever will be will be,,you can worry yourself all day long about something,it still wont alter the course of what may or may not happen,,,Anxiety has us believing in worst case scenarios all the time,,and were almost always wrong in this assumption..
Its often very easy for someone to say "dont worry" or "calm down" etc,but when you suffer extreme worry/panic/anxiety etc,,this kind of advice is futile..
You need to first address youre own perceptions and pespectives,,and keep telling yourself how unfounded most worry actually is.
I still suffer with anxiety quite badly, but have managed to greatly reduce it over time..
It takes some effort and energy my friend,,not to mention time..
but it can be tackled,,i myself am proof of that...
Good luck with it.. bananadancer

I agree with you. Drugs will not deal with the issue at hand. They will only mask the problem.
If he cannot deal with his anxiety/worry issue on his own, he is probably best to seek professional help. Nobody should experience life on an ongoing basis feeling that way. It makes it difficult to enjoy life with all its wonderful experiences. Again, drugs will help mask that too....life and its wonderful experiences.
....and I speak from experience.
That is just my opinion.
They are glib and lack any sympathy. Heaven help anyone who would get close to them.
I notice that you always seem to come to the aide of those who are feeling down. This speaks volumes about your character.
Our voices allow us to agree, disagree, compliment and ask questions.
Your words can have amazing effects on others, even if it’s only one person. A simple “hello” in passing can make someone’s day, or even just a “thank you” when you really mean it.
As much as possible live in the here and now.
Perhaps read about Nehru Gandhi's life.
Read these quotes from Gandhi:
A leader or a man of action in a crisis almost always acts subconsciously and then thinks of the reasons for his action.
Ignorance is always afraid of change.
You must learn to be still in the midst of activity and to be vibrantly alive in repose.
There exists no politician in India daring enough to attempt to explain to the masses that cows can be eaten.
Have a bias toward action - let's see something happen now. You can break that big plan into small steps and take the first step right away.
Another source of quotes:
“Actually, there’s no outside enemy. There’s a reason why people give harm to us, get angry with us or criticize us. There’s a reason, there’s a cause for that, and that cause is our mind,
“In the past we harmed others with these negative thoughts. We made mistakes, we did unrighteous actions and harmed others. What is happening now is the result of that.
Your up and down emotions are like clouds in the sky; beyond them, the real, basic human nature is clear and pure.
Less desire means less pain
Once you realize the true evolution of your mental problems, you’ll never blame any other living being for how you feel.
You are responsible for your own problems just as you’re responsible for your own liberation and enlightenment.
The greatest problems of humanity are psychological, not material. From birth to death, people are continually under the control of their mental sufferings.
Like molding dough in your hand, you can definitely turn your mind whichever way you want.
Try to eliminate the negative attitudes, which bring suffering, and increase the positive attitudes, which bring happiness.
