My Christmas.

I celebrated Christmas with my children and grandchildren last Sat. night! (They go to their mom's on Christmas eve.)We had a very nice time together!yay Everyone was there except one of my daughter's who had a previous commitment. She and her husband are coming to my place for Christmas breakfast....I'm doing the cooking! woo-ooh dancing It should be good!

No bad weather forecasted so roads should be good!

Where are some of you going for Christmas?

Hi Jim,

I've had enough already! I'll be visiting a friend for 4 days and be on cooking duty and then staying in on New Year's Eve to recuperate...

So much for a family get-together, my siblings are so busy and remote I felt like writing 'see you at your funeral' on their Christmas cards! laugh

Hello Jim,

It is nice to hear that you had a pleasant pre-Christmas/Christmas gathering. I think that is nice when people make it special for both parents. These holiday times can get very complicated in such situations. My parents are also separated as well. As a sibling, I try and make it a point to give both special attention. :)

My plans for Christmas is to travel up north coming this Wednesday. I heard the weather down here in lower Mich is going to be in the 60's....shock ....so no snow for Christmas down here. But, as of now, it looks like a winter storm is moving in for up north that day. ...going to have to leave early.

But, it should be a good holiday season up there. I didn't have enough time for Turkey Day to visit all my friends. I will be staying up there until after the new year...so, I should have enough time this go-round for all my visiting. :)

teddybear santa waving My dear Gentlejim I have never been in that situation where I only had one parent around although they were both alive,but People always say that their children are their priority during a divorce as they are each dealing with their own issues – separation and the retaliation of suddenly being alone. Parents want to be there for their kids. So for you it must be the most wonderful thing in life to still have a good relationship with your childrenyay yay yay May you have a blessed Christmas and many more with a family that I am sure loves you dearlyheart beating teddybear angel lips lips lips

Hello Gentlejimhandshake I ll be at my Aunts home on Xmas day, visiting, and reminiscing, and enjoying good food. And the days after xmas, I ll be coffeeing and visiting neighbors. Looking forward to seeing the neighbors kids, and hearing what they got for xmas. All the Xmas baking doesn t help my Sweet tooth, or mid section,rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

I have spent almost every Christmas with my children since they were small! I truly have been blessed with an awesome family! The children and grandchildren get to have two Christmases! They love it!thumbs up
