Do you carry a knife?

When you go out, particularly at night, do you carry a knife or some other weapon to protect yourself?

Ive never carried a knife to protect myself.
But I do carry something similar to a knife in my handbag
I dont think I need to carry one for safety though.

Canaster of pepper spray, aimed quickly and forcibly at the face and eyes. Once incapacitated, and crying for dearest marmar, I place a hand grenade into each pant pocket. Old army trick. Keeps courts and jails clear. Rooser.

I have never thought of carrying any kind of weapon for protection.
I'm always feeling protected somehow.

I did martial arts many years for self defence and only had to use it once while in Spain against a Morrocon gentleman who was drunk at the time and tried to get in my car.

Mind he had a knife and he was very angry with me for what I had done. Luckily the police came to the rescue!

There are very strict rules here about carrying knives, however, it is fine to carry jousting sticks.

Very rarely, and if it was that unsafe, how would a mere knife help? I am not counting the Leatherman on my belt because it is more pliers and bottle opener than knife, and self defense with the 2 inch blade would be really silly.
