rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing zman the mind boggles at all countries leaders

Where are their brains roll eyes don,t answer that rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
The basic scenario of the link above is that Saudi has amassed 350,000 ground troops, thousands of tanks, helicopters etc with the intention of invading Syria, the Russians have said they won't allow that & the conclusion is that the only way to stop that large a force is with nuclear weapons, hence WW111 doh
And on that cheerful note -
Redex, this whole situation appears to be due to said leaders deciding their way is the only way & the best way to achieve that end is to remove any other leader who doesn't agree doh
Chrome, I know you said you were leaving SA today but I'm not sure where you're going back to dunno another article I read last night, but can't find for the moment, listed other countries where wind will carry fallout from the tactical nukes, from memory Jordan, Iraq, Iran & Saudi, so hope you're not going anywhere near any of those uh oh wow beer
z! z! zwow its Sunday peace that sure is a doom and gloom message.

I think I would rather read a book than news. They are all still stories are they not, but I can pick a nice book for a Sundayrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing tongue
Redex, I'd take that book down to your air raid shelter if I were you professor grin
Well I dont know about that it's THE CRUCIFIX KILLERwow
author Chris Carter. Do I get payment foir advertising his book laugh laugh

Its first chapter is in a cellarmoping moping moping teddybear
On the EU referendum, I haven't seen any polls yet as to the way Brits are likely to vote, however I sense the mood is one of anger against the EU parliament, should the UK leave the EU will others follow suit, with the exception of maybe Germany & France none of the other members seem over enamoured dunno
Redex, in a cellar you say, that's where you read it, not only for atmosphere but protection from radiation professor
z will you be able to vote not heard about expats voting yet.dunno

At moment they say Scottish vote could sway result as news reckons Scots want in. We all know about stats and news though, long way to go.
Got to go z will be back later to see what comments you have.teddybear
Actually straight into the hot zone. But only for another 2 months. I should be well clear by D-day and on a rocket ship into outer space.

I do have a co-pilot signed up already but I suppose we could find room for half a dozen more?

On the EU I tend to agree thumbs up beer
Usha, plan, what plan confused it's a free for all with everyone trying for their own idea of Eutopia doh wine
I drove to Qassim in Saudi today.. I stopped counting the military vehicles at 900..my phone was dead so couldnt take photos.

Yes they are amassing on the border.

Okay... Many have said that Saudi's and the US have been supplying ISIS...the reason was to push out the Shia majority..and of course Muslims sympathise in the name of Allah..and join the crusade...Putting in a Sunni majority means not allowing Hezbullah and Iran in there, near Israel.

However no one anticipated the Russians getting involved and exposing the Turks buying fuel and pointing fingers..The Russian intervention has turned the tables and ISIS are losing ground. Its not a secret that the US hates Syria because they never bowed down to the pressure of the US..look at there antic in South America...!

You want blame...Blame the US for this whole mess...Like Putin says...the US has bases all over the world...and they say Russia is the agressor ...doh...sad the Brits have to follow..we dont want to upset the US now do we...
its been reported as a just a military training operation..never has one been this big ever in Saudi....time will tell.
I hope it doesn't happen because it's the poor and innocent who suffer as they don't have any place to hide like it's happening in Syria..
Z, as far as I am concerned it already started, albeit slow in involving the wild powers in jumping in. Four are in at the moment if not more already.

Question is when it's going to end?

wave
Aaltarboy, the details according to the articles I've read is that it'll be the Russians using tactical nukes, the logic being that it's the only way to stop such a large ground force.
Wonder what future civilisations will make of CS on my computer when they dig it out from under the rubble, probably put us down as being an uncivilised bunch prone to arguing laugh rolling on the floor laughing beer
India, if it goes nuclear there'll be no hiding, heads of government think they'll survive in their shelters but they've never been tested in real life, even if they do what would be the point, everything on the ground would be dead barring maybe a few insects doh
LJ, as you say it's well under way but it's never too late to stop until of course it's too late doh you have elections coming up but I don't hear any talk of a change in foreign policy from the candidates, but then I'm not that well informed on American politics, if there is such the message isn't getting out wine
LJ, on the subject of policy I see Kerry has announced that America wants the UK to stay in Europe, I'm just wondering if he'd be so keen on belonging to AU, American Union, with a parliament in say Columbia setting immigration rules for America dunno
almond slices are lovely with a cup of tea yay
Too many people on the earth, something needs to happen roll eyes
Capricorn143, are you volunteering dunno rolling on the floor laughing
See z I used to srap myself to railings blushing in my younger days to stop America from holding Nuclear weapons in our country moping all to no avail.

I am saving up to have ticket on Richard Bransons first flightcheering cheering cheering
Redex, one thing we can't do is go back & rewrite history, who's to say in those dark cold war days that had those missiles no been there that Russia wouldn't have seen a first strike option as viable dunno Also who's to say that tactical nukes though never used haven't kept the world safe thus far dunno it would be nice in theory to go back & uninvent nukes but again with the population of say the USSR & China that one or both wouldn't have taken a shine to the whole of Europe or indeed the world dunno
I had this dilemma today. On one hand, I vowed I wouldn't read a single blog that looked downbeat, because I'm feeling a little blue. On the other hand, I always read Z's because they're usually tongue-in-cheek. This time I think I missed the joke.

moping
z you have got head on today yep ifs and buts and all of that but at time still was enthused and against wars of any kind dunno all to no avail again.roll eyes

You could of course say if my mother had not met my father grin need I go on and yes I did enjoy my walk very muchlaugh
Bif, you haven't got time to be moping in a few days we'll all be smoky bacon flavour wow laugh

Look on the bright side, when have internet theories even been right dunno and don't anyone say there's always a first time, Bif needs cheering up cheering wine
Z no one is going to ask you or me if we are volunteering laugh

just wish the West could leave that part of the world alone - if they want to kill themselves, let them!
Capricorn143 , agreed, but I don't see any sign of that happening in the foreseeable future doh as it appears that the USA is leading this interference it's up to the American people to change their country's stance when they vote imo.
I'm afraid it's not easy to stop Z. Greed and power just can't be tucked in by any of them. Peace is a very expensive commodity.

Anyways you do have very valid point if nuke is deterrent on escalating war, it worked well for the last 60 years. Let's not forget Russia planted it in Cuba to annihilate the US.

On hindsight, what could have happened if we failed to discover?

Afghanistan is an example of such an aggression.
Too bad most people only know America as war monger.
On Kerry? He's so lame just like Obama, a traitor I'v you ask me. All the Democrats are really. But that's a different post.
LJ, although a different time back then, looking back on the Cuban crisis don't you think the USSR was prompted to do that by Nato moving bases ever closer to them dunno I was saying to a fellow blogger just the other day that I feel the USA overreacted to communism, we in the UK faced the same but mainly just laughed about it, no way were the people ever going to vote in a communist government, any more than the people of the USA would, that being the case why the witch-hunt dunno
