I was in an interracial marriage.

He's brown and I'm yellow

And my daughter is known as 'Milk Tea' and my son is 'Milk Coffee'

The kids have the best of both worlds

Why do you assume that they're scared? It's a personal preference

It's about cultural differences for me, I have no problem with different skin colours as long as we have the same values.

If someone wants to be in a relationship with you it shouldn't be hidden forever. I understand that someone would want to take their time to introduce a new partner if children are involved, but that has nothing to do with skin colour.

I'm sure it can work in some cases, but generally its an uneven relationship. Here, a lot of men that are not nice people buy a takeaway bride from Asia. Not all, but a lot.

Pat, those men are complete fools. They really don't know what they have got themselves into! They are the ones being fleeced!

I talk about it,with a friend,who has take care of all my electricity problems for 2 decades.
He is black and when I told him that I have seen so many old interracial couples,that looks to be so very close to each other and that I believe,that these combinations work better than same race couples.
He start to smile and said,that he has realize the same thing and that he had these couples in his own Family and among friends and that they always has work better....also he told that he had had a white Girlfriend earlier and that she was acting more close to him,than any of his black girlfriends he has had and also,that he is definitely now trying to get a white girlfriend,because it is working better.
We then was wondering,what the reason could be,then I said my own opinion,that perhaps there are some negative pressures from some of the both sides families and friends,that don't like that you marry somebody from an other race and then you are drawn closer,like into a castle,to protect your relationship from outsiders and that make these couples more tight to each other and keep it better together and my friend agree,that that could be a potential reason.

When I was growing up, interracial relationships simply weren't an issue. There just weren't any other races here

But for me personally, the main issue would be cultural differences, not colour.

If I fancy and like somebody, colour won't get in the way.

To me it is also cultural differences. There are whites I won't have relationships with because of that so skin color is not the main issue.

Once you had black..you never go back .
