Letting go on CS
Easy to shut down conversations with CS people who aren’t what you thought they were. Tell them nicely, or stop writing, or block the ones who turned out to be subhuman. How do you end things that have gone a bit further, when they won’t give up, and you don’t want to even be friends?
Lead them into temptation – persuade them to sign up on another website, or get someone else to flirt with them, then sadly shake your head and say you can’t trust them anymore
Start a very public and very intense flirt with someone else on CS.
Pretend to be dead. Don’t appear on your usual media, ignore every effort they make to communicate, for at least a week. If that doesn’t do it, when you reappear, publicly ignore them, or get insulting.
What others have I missed?
Not because I need to know. My own status remains unchanged and much valued.

Reminds me of the answering machine message which has been quoted here before. "Please leave a message. I'm making changes in my life. If I don't call back, you were one of the changes"
I'd just do the 'start a very public and very intense flirt with someone else on CS'
Hello CD
Cuddle up closer and whisper it in my ear
Hey DC just kidding
It seemed like a good blog to put in an appearance
Disaffection publicly displayed irks me... seriously. Why anyone should go to such lengths to shut down someone, is beyond me. Walking away is not a weakness, it takes a hell of a lot more than to stick around pretending something is okay when it clearly is not
Don't get mad, get more cupcakes!!
And none of my business in any way.
Deleting right after I intercept those cupcakes
I have been lucky that I have never come across that type, but telling them like it is, straight up, followed by total lack of engagement would be my preferred method.
Not deleted, just shunted back in the queue because you are in the minority
People are out doing stuff, not online (like I ill be in a second!)
Stop being so impatient and wait.
