That's putting your money where your mouth is.

The little shit that shot & killed, for whatever sick & twisted reason, a much loved village Goose is about to get their comeuppance, a local resident has put a £250,000 reward to help bring the killer to justice.

Grumpy Gertie the much loved Sandon goose, who would normally be seen guarding a disused phone box, was hand reared & convinced he was a duck, often seen stopping traffic to escort ducks across the road. The phone box is now filled with flowers, letters from children and a lantern.

I think the article said somebody texted that they would pay 250 000 pounds reward. I'm guessing thats a pre paid mobile belonging to somebody who does not have that kind of money.

Its a terrible thing to happen. The poor animal trusted people.
Pat, this is the UK we're talking about, 1p increase in income tax = riots in the streets, £250,000 to bring justice on animal cruelty, cheap laugh beer
Some people are terrified of geese but aye, then cross the road, numpty. Don't walk past the goose.

Guessing it was a much more popular member of the community than the killer, even before he/she ends their popularity potential forever when identified.
Chrome, I suspect you're right on their popularity front, but certainly now thumbs up beer
There were some terrible floods here a few years back, and people were evacuated. When they returned a lot had been burgled. There were calls to bring back the death penalty and all kinds of tarring and feathering etc... Then it turned out to be some 15 year old boys, which only made it more complicated.
Stupid and senseless..crying.an easy target for someone who is basically a coward and wanted to feel powerful? Whatever reason.....hope they get him (or her?) and fitting punishment falls on the killer! RIP Grumpy Gertie sad flower

If I was the police I wouldn't put him in jail, I would put his name and address in the local papers. It would save the town the cost of a trial and and everything associated with it.

Biff, as you say, even a shallow glance at books about serial killers will show virtually all started with cruelty to animals, so moving on to humans wouldn't be a stretch very mad wine
