:(
What could you do if your maid washed your white clothes together with the red one cause of red stains on the white one, can't wear anymore and that white one is a new and it's expensive thing, about 3 times more expensive the maid monthly salary.Would you ask her or pay for that or has to buy a new one to replace??
OR, do not pay her this month salary and ask her do not need to work anymore??
OR, forgive her and accept the fact that your clothes already got damage?? :((
Hic hic... :((
If it were you in this situation, what could you do?? :((

I think I'd probably accept that when I exploit people,
I probably won't get high quality professional work out of them.
I've been washing mine since 21 and never had an issue. If you have enough money to buy expensive clothes you should not take the food from that poor ladies table, just explain to her and if she does it again then you "punish" her.
How long she had been working for me.
How many other mistakes she has made, laundry or otherwise, that were expensive.
How repentent she was.
How much the clothing was and how much her salary was (being her salary was fair).
I take it she did not offer to help replace your shirt.
If this was the first time anything like this happened, it was truly an accident, and overall she does a wonderful job for you, I would show more mercy than mercenary-ness (extracting money from her). The "debt" would be forgiven.
Otherwise, you could have her pay for the shirt by deducting a small amount from her salary each month, or you could do as you first suggested (fire her, etc.)
Do what you think in your heart is right...how you would like to be treated.
Not an easy decision, I know.
You can use a Color Remover; to get it out the clothes.
By The Way!
I knew someone that this happen too! And they rewash the items by using White Vinegar, only in the washer.
Ps. I Agree With Outsideofb.
We all do makes mistakes! Even on our job.
Go to Google.com and type in: white clothes washed with red and became discolored. They will give several options how to remove the red from the white. Bleach will normally do it but go to that site and they will help you.
Wish you the best!
The maid salary is fair for her if I don't want to say a bit over paid for the job and hours she has to do, just the clothes is special so it's expensive! I can do myself washing things and cleaning up the house but I have a busy job while maid cost is very affordable in my country it helps me save time for other things...
Anyway, I feel so sad :(( - I like that clothes not because it's expensive but it's very lovely and very comfortable to wear it. And it's a gift from my mother hic hic hic hu hu hu :((
I will decide what to do with her tomorrow!
As for doing laundry, I do my own, my mess, my clean up,
In fact, I would never hire a maid, at all.
My maid broke 2 to 3
Glasses or Plates
In a week I scold them
But never Charged

You have a good job and can afford to buy clothes that cost 3 momths of a maid's earnings, so just buy more, and look after the expensive ones yourself in future.
Surely there are much bigger issues out there in the big wide world than worrying how Mimi desides to scold her poor maid for ruining her goddam dress.
If she's rich enough to afford a maid, she should just 'get over it' and give the poor made a chance.
Yes, I could just hire another, but she has been doing it a long time, and I know that another could bring in worse issues, lol.
So are there more important issues? Absolutely yes. But this one was not so trivial as to scold those who replied to it - I felt her question had merit.
This is the answer, mimi. I have never been more sure about anything in my entire life.
You really sound spoiled. If your clothes cost three times more than you pay your maid, then you should reexamine your priorities. What kind of shallow person values her clothes more than the poor underpaid woman who washes them?
Here you go whining to the world on the internet about this petty problem, as if it's even slightly important. I'd bet that maid has far worse problems than you do, not the least of which is working for such a shrew.
1. I do love the clothes I have, not only because it's expensive but also for other reasons.
2. I DO upset because the mistake was from careless or exact word should be lazy, lazy washing 2 times so putting everything up together and this is NOT 1st time she did that. She damaged few things before including one time made my white work uniform become a bit grey or back!! I many times reminded her have to sort colours before putting them in to the machine. I feel sorry for her if I ask her pay for that so I din't but imagine if I continue take things so easily she will continue damage my clothes non stop like that... sorry, I'm not bad with people who works for me but I'm definitely NOT that good to keep forgive and forgive and forgive again and again for the same mistakes!
