Much Help Needed

I want to write a real and sensible "about me" in my profile but how do I write it so it don't

A: Sound like a million other profiles.
B: Offend anyone.
C: Not sound cheesy.
D: Effectively describe my personality without turning everyone off lol.

I just updated my profile, I guess its ok . . . . maybe roll eyes
Your profile sounds grand and yes it does have picture of you without hat (nice hat) but first glimpse for girl must be you, she can get to know hat at later date my friend peace yay teddybear
Ok, do you want real advice?

You are getting it anyway.grin

1. First question - Do you really want to date either an 18 year old or a 99 year old?

If not, put in the actual age-group you want to date from.

That shows that you have actually thought about this.

Also you state you want children some day. Therefore you have to pick within the age-group of women who can/want to have children

2. Remove the 'lols' . I hate them on profiles.

3. You say you are looking for Friends/Hang Out.
If this is what you are looking for, then that is perfect.
But if you are looking for a partner/relationship, then change that.
If I see Friends/ Hang Out, I automatically presume that the person is Not looking for a relationship, and then I disregard them as a potential partner.

Decide what you want.

4. Do you not want anything else from the potential woman, apart from having a laugh?

Do you want to build a life together?
Do you want them to accept you with all your faults as you would accept them?
Do you want one that lives within travelling distance, or are you willing and able to travel long distances?

Having what you want, and what you can offer, as clearly written as possible gives the reader a greater understanding of who you are and what you want from them.

Just my tuppence worth bouquet
@Molly
thumbs up thumbs up
Hiya Track, wave

Basically Molly nailed it all - be clear with what you want, if you are looking for a relationship, say so. If you are on here to date, "friends" could give the impression of looking for something like FWB.

No lol's

Is there something that is important to you in someone's character - a woman might relate to what you are looking for.

Best of luck in meeting that someone special. bouquet
Keep the lol if you feel it is a vital part of your personality - it will put off women who don't like it, but you do use it a lot, it is part of you. Lots of women on here lol all over the place and even add laugh out loud in the same sentence, natural soul mates.

You describe yourself as having dark blond hair, so it might be a good idea to put up pic showing dark blond hair? If you prefer bald / shaved, change that bit of the profile.

Otherwise I think you've portrayed yourself pretty well, go for it!

yay
And oh yeah, what the others said about 18 - 99 year olds, ykes. rolling on the floor laughing You're 37 and would like kids - 30 to 45 is more realistic. If you really like younger women, make it 18 to 25. No women of 40, for example, is going to look twice at a man who is secretly hoping to meet her daughter.
I agree with the suggestions above.
Writing about yourself is just being you...nothing else.
What you are looking for is important too, when two converge you got mostly a match.
Good luck!SM
Thanks everyone.
Okay Track, I agree with Molly about Lols. They are not necessarily necessary there.

But you must add in your profile that you are understanding and sensible. Those are positive traits I have seen in you out of blogs. I like to think doesn't sound confident enough. You have grown the right way in many ways. comfort hug bouquet Bit busy. Will write to you. Have something to tell you.teddybear
The lol's are gone moping
Did you get it all figured out, Track?

And 'track16'...what is that a favorite song on an album?
I like how it is now, just going to leave it alone. And your almost right, I was recording one day and it was fresh in my mind when I created this account :)
Have you posted a video of you doing one of your songs? That would have those women swooning in no time, I'm sure.
Here is a video of me doing a cover of Neil Young. Its just audio as I could not using my recording program with the camera.

Nice! I especially like it from about 2:45 on.

Still need to see you rocking it out though. :)
