Family ties

Sometimes family ties can become very complicated. Now just look at what happened ol' Jack.hmmm

Five years ago, when he was 55, he married a 45 year old widow named Tina who had a daughter Sally aged 20 and a son Peter aged 18. Thus Jack became the husband of Tina and the father of Sally and Peter. At the same time Jack’s father, John, became the father of Tina and the grandfather of Sally and Peter.dancing

Soon afterwards Tina fell pregnant and gave birth to a son and they named him Deon. Deon, of course is the grandson of John (Jack’s father). Deon also became the brother of Sally and Peter. This was all kosher until John, at the age of 76, announced that he and Sally (Jack’s daughter), then 21, were in love and planned to be married soon.shock

By this union Jack became the father of his father (thus his own grandfather), and also the son of his daughter (his own grandson) and the nephew of his wife. John became the son of his son (also his own grandson), the husband of his granddaughter and the brother-in-law of his grandson. Jack’s newborn son, Deon, became the brother-in law of his grandfather and the uncle of his mother and father. There were too many new relative lines drawn to mention here.confused

As if things were not complicated enough, Sally also fell pregnant and she too bore a son. They named him Fred. Fred became the brother of Jack by way of his father and also his grandson through Sally. He also became the cousin and great uncle of Deon. Also in the process, he became uncle of his mother.doh

And now he tells me that Lisa, his daughter from his first marriage, is upset with him because he told her to F-off when she informed him that she was in love with Tina’s son Peter and plans to marry him soon.wow

And I thought my family was muddled up.grin

Just hope Jack doesn't divorce Tina and remarry another younger woman uh oh

laugh
Hi Kal
Too complicated to explain.
wine wave
Catfoot, I think you meant Sally and Peter and not Tina and Peter. professor
Otherwise it's even more complicated.. grin hug
Hi Molly,
Do you think he'd want some more family. I'd hate to be the executor of his estate if he should die intestate. Who's going to get what? laugh

Hi Kal
Ah, I see. Thanks, I will correct it soon. See it even confuses me.laugh

Catfootttttttttttttttttttttr!!! reunion hug

Too complicated for this feeble brain grin
Cat, I think maybe the snip and a visit to his solicitor might be in order for Jack grin
Cat, That sounds heavy, Thankfully I sold my family years ago.
Hi Molly,
Hmm, I guess you're right. But it will have to be very specific. Especially when leaving something to his grandchildren when he, himself is also one of his own grandchildren. now that is something that's bothering me now. If one leaves something to himself in his will, will he be allowed to take it with him to the other side?grin

Hi Map
Did you get a fair price for them? I would like to sell a few of mine but the only offers so far expected me to pay in some amount.grin
cheers wave
Cat, I think I would follow Map's suggestion, and pay money to dispose of them if necessary laugh
hi Molly
I'm probably at the wrong dealer. Will have to have another chat with map.
hug wave
Molly gotta go joy cartwheel gotta go joy cartwheel gotta go
Cat, Certainly, His name is Philemon Nyamapanda, head to the Greenwood park sports ground, on the beach area you will find a yellow and blue boat with "Nadine" on the bow, ask for him and strike a deal, a handy hint is to take some curried snoek and onions in a tupperware container, it seems to help with better prices.
Good Luck! and god speed. cheers
Hi DC
We call it peesoup here. Not in good supply though. Our breweries recycle it to make Amstel beer.grin

Hi Map
I had dealing this this bozo before and it left me reluctant to deal with Zimbabweans again. And snoek is not good currency in winter. It is in good supply but we have learned that winter snoek is not good very good and nobody buys it. Snoek will only be popular again in September.cool
cheers wave
Mind you, I braaied a snoek on Saturday and it came out better than what I expected. Normally wintersnoek disappoints.
grin
Cat, September is not far away, perhaps you can fatten up the family, they will bring a higher price, If no snoek is available he rather likes Koo spaghetti hoops and a baggy of Cape Town Poison.
Map
Quite so. This one came from Saldanha Bay. I ordered another one. The person who brings them to me only goes there once a month. I'm holding thumbs that the next one will also be okay.
So Cat, if I went to South Africa and asked them to braa a snoek, they would know what I was talking about?writing
A feast

Molly
A braai Snoek is the national food in Cape Town. Served with roasted sweet potatoes done in the same fire.

Sorry Molly, I think I'd just cancel my trip to Cork and join Catfoot instead, the food there sure looked yummy!! love love love
DC, you have to choose.

But I do know that Cat fits your criteria otherwise much more than I do sigh

Cat laugh

I though Snoek tasted old and bitter?
DC
You're still on the right track. The two commodities that you're after are both in ample supply in south Africa. laugh
hug wave
@ Pat..are clear instructions too much to ask for?
DC
Yes, I suppose you can have your cake and eat it too. Maybe the expression is wrong.grin
hug wave
Molly
That is what I like about the Irish. You can laugh at yourself. It's something that not too many people can do.thumbs up
hug wave
I always put some biltong in the braai, then serve it up on a bed of snoek.
Pat
I heard that some people braai, fry or cook biltong but that is counter productive. the why bother to dry it. just add the spices and eat it while still wet.doh
cheers wave
Cat, I would recommend that which tastes better as the 2nd course.

But seeing what you are offering, maybe a dessert for follow both would be appropriate.

grin
I like to put some biltong in the braai then serve it up on a bed of snoek.
Molly
Maybe the better one can he served as a starter and dessert. That way you get the best of two worlds and twice as much of the very best.dunno
hug wave
Het Pat
Do you stutter or are you just trigger happy. laugh
cheers wave
Cat, Pat suffers from premature eejitulation

grin
Hi Molly
I wondered if it was something like that, but are you sure it is premature? I don't have any medical or psychological experience but it appears to be compulsive and even repetitive to me.grin
