My old fashion BlackBerry
Yesterday, I had a casual meeting with my secondary friend. He has been living in New Zealand for 25 years. We talked a lot. I need to show him pictures of my projects. So I hand to him my mobile phone. He opened up the cover....."OMG Lindzy, you are still using BlackBerry!! You need to change this phone." I laughed hearing his comment. That is not the first time to hear that comment over my BlackBerry. Few times, my boys do comment, " Mommy, you need to change this phone, it is out of fashion. Our phones are even better than your BlackBerry." I laughed, " Son.... I agree with you, it is old fashion...BUT....the best thing is.....even old fashion, it helps me to maximize my work and bring money to pay school fees.My Bellagio BlackBerry was bought around 2011-2012, after losing my second BlackBerry. It is the third BlackBerry that complete my life. Yes...I am a fans of BlackBerry. I love the qwerty type keypads. I ever try to use touch screen phone, but it is uncomfortable. My fingers are too large for the touch screen keypads. Create many wrong typing. Few of my friends also find the same difficulty in using soft touch phones. Honestly...it needs more time to understand their texts because of too many wrong typing. Some change their phones to bigger size...while I still prefer small phones which is easier to carry and use.
Luckily.....I am not the type of person who puts pride on belongings. I dont want to waste time busy searching and buying things just to show pride. My pride is having proper sense of own value and that is the correct level of respect for the important and value of my personal character, life, efforts, or achievements.
Happy day CS....

Well an interesting blog.
Each to their own isn't it really. If you are happy with your Blackberry, why change it?
It's funny really. I remember the first mobile phones which were like house bricks! Then they got smaller and smaller as the technology developed. It became a race to own the smallest phones possible..flip phones, etc.
Now the trend seems to be going the other way! We have smart phones now that are fantastic, but you just can't get them in a pocket! Haha
Good for you keeping your Blackberry. it shouldn't be a pride thing, more a device for function and convenience instead of a fashion statement!
Yesss...thank you Robby, for the reminder to post pictures..
@ sands88. Yesss...I am aware of that situation. I need to practice using soft touch phones....
Consider yourself blocked
'-)
BUT!!! It makes a call, gets a call or takes a message!!
That will do me fine!!!
yes sadly i need to trow them away soon!!and start to look for alternative!!
I think that if someone teach you how the new tecnology connects with your computer and work, you will throw away these old device.
Nowadays is not a proud matter, is a cloud matter, or commfort space.
