Best seat in the house

I've been thinking for a while it was time to upgrade the smallest room but it wasn't until I came across this catalogue that I got really fired with enthusiasm. However, now I'm spoiled for choice and I really can't decide. Do I go for style or comfort? Wow factor, or convenience? blues

Your help in this decision would be very much appreciated. Whether you point Percy at the porcelain or Alice at the chalice, haven't you appreciated the variations on basic white?

And bearing in mind you're unlikely ever to visit me, which would you expect to see in my house, knowing me as you do by now ...

or the utterly practical

If I had a second loo I would of course take both but it is a very small house and the UK, unlike the US or SA, doesn't go for a loo per room.

Heyyy! Biggie.....hug
I will go with the first photo. Because it bring some imagination to the mind. That You are sitting on the beach all the year round. Doing all 4 season! Especially the summer season. It can cool your mind off. When it's a very hot day. Or very hot days. Like the days that we are having here in the USA. We are having days running 99 to 104 degrees of hot heat here. Help Me! ....moping
Biff, I dont think either of those would suit you..

This one is perfect for when "dropping the kids off at School"

Molly, The Knight has arrived..
Yay for knights!

I love that vidlaugh
Oh WELL if we're going to post ADS - hi, mods, sorreeee but she and Map started it -

and she managed all that without a squatty potty snooty

However the tip has been noted. Ta grin
Map, yours does look comefortable but is comfort everything? If one is going to stray off the beaten path, should there not be a tiny bit of wow factor?

Who am I kidding, I don't have the flare, the pizzazz, to carry off a truly exciting WC moping
Angel, nooooooooooooo how are you coping? that's just awful (although I had to work it out first. 100F = 38 degrees, yikes.)

I'd hug you but you're probably all sweaty and would hit me if I did laugh
Biff, I had seen that one before toolaugh

Okay, methinks I have to go get a life moping

grin
Molly - they're good interesting unusual ads rolling on the floor laughing
Map, I was a bit horrified too. How do you keep them clean if you can't move them every few months? wow

Apparently that little lever just above the seat, press that? you should get a rush of water. THEY CLEAN THEMSELVES. I was gobsmacked.
Jokes aside, in my polocrosse days we did have only a long-drop loo at my first club's polocrosse field. It was pretty heavy on spiders and if you left the door open, you risked being come upon by others seeking relief. If you shut it, you were in the dark - with the spiders. help

Then some genius removed the roof, WONDERFUL. Okay, so long as it wasn't raining, wonderful.

It was about 2 years before everyone finally noticed. For 2 years you'd still be heading towards that moment of comfort in the trees and when you were about 5 yards away the door would suddenly slam shut. Then would follow a surprised silence from inside that the lights hadn't gone out ... laugh

Good times.
Biff you are referring to the "long drop", they were for the more wealthier people, Being poorer and having to just wander around looking for a spot with a good view was all I knew, I still remember getting my own shovel when I was 5.

And you are right, seeing these inside "water closet" with a handle that send water into the bowl was a novel thing, I used to do the dishes and wash my socks in the first one I had when I was allegedly "civilised".

Ive always wondered...Why dont these modern toilets use hot water?
Map - do you know, many a true word spoken in jest. Why ISN'T there a flushable sink, eh?
I think the office loo is the one to have. The fish tank is nice, but, after a couple of usages the water would look kind of yellowy and murky brown!

Eeeek! Toooooooooooo much information?
Toilet-Aquarium is THE most magnificent device I've ever seen.
Question: Does it glow in the dark. Either way. Outstanding.
