Politically correct incorrectness
Well its a funny old world and then things Just get silly now and then.
Is the burkini ban a move in the wrong direction or should we embrace
Government assured perving on public beaches / .
Maybe ugly women should be made wear burkinis on the strand.
if you agree,
how would you define ugly ?

While I'm 100% for a secular state, this burkini madness has eff all to do with religion or being oppression for women.
The ban is oppressive
I find burqas incompatible with our western society but telling women what they can wear? wtf!
The truth is there's a bigger agenda behind that, me thinks.
as ridiculous as it is it should still be an option, No ?
Like wearing crocks.
Agreed
Very sinister turn of events.
A very valid point, with the worry of skin cancer surly these things should be promoted by the W.H.O
How very true,
at the heart of the matter is the fact that this is a ban on opinion and freedom.
"Non, it's 6 yards of cloth and water. be practical. who wants to drag around 50lbs of wet fabric while playing at the beach?"
I thought the goth and emo community's would welcome such a cover up from the suns rays
PS you can blindfold me any time
I fully agree that this is leading somewhere else, a sign of the times perhaps..
and, sure, i've got a blindfold for you.
Well said !
I guess they didn't realize on how good my mother's hearing was.She had taken one look at both of them and said "She bet them that she had more clothing on then some women have on at the beach.
However, I am totally against the ban.
These burkinis are not a security threat to anybody. The faces are totally uncovered. Therefore by banning them, these women are being targeted twice.
Once by being forced by their culture to wear clothes to cover their entire bodies, and secondly, by being not allowed by secular society to wear them.
The only victim here yet again is the woman.
They can live here but have to accept the European culture.
I went to school with lots of girls from all backgrounds and it wasn't a problem as all of them were integrated, spoke the language and mixed with everyone.
The problem starts when people don't want to integrate.
I think NotaDoc summed it up quite well here.
Also when I started working the place I worked had a mixed workforce and again no problems there.
Looking around now, this seems to change - and that is where more and more problems starts. If people choose to come to life in Europe, they have to integrate - this incl. language as well as customs.
The truth is they wear their clothes as a representation of their political affiliations as much as supposedly religious costumes.
Anyways other than that, we in the west wear clothes for comfort and style.
The post is political correct of incorrectness.
