Preparing for a date
We men have no idea what a woman goes through preparing for a date or even a simple coffee meet up, They spend time and money on hair, nails clothing that more often than not costs more than a meal and drinks, yet we assume because we men pay for the meal we expect special thanks. We men also have a false perception on what women like or how we think they like to dress.
So the questions are:
For the men, do you think a clean shirt, having a shave, washing the back, sack and crack is enough? And how do you think women should dress for a date.
For the women, how long do you typically prepare for a date, and how much do you spend on getting dolled up?

I keep it simple.
I just talk to visiting rabbits now, they blink their eyelashes for photo shot and I give carrots.
I spend at least four hours as I do my own hair, nails etc. I don't rush off to beauty salons for any dates
..............................
And the full program....but that's just a set up if I ever get a date
Seri, That's nearly a full day!...Will someone please ask Seri out..anyone?
Red, I will look up your blog and prepare to be astonished and amused.
Unla, Thats reasonable, and using what you have seems cheaper than buying a new outfit for each date, just make sure its all antistatic treated and wrinkle free, you know what a cramped back seat can do to an outfit.
I will get the works done
I haven't bought new clothes for a date for a long time, but that is because I haven't been on a date in a long time
But yes, hours of prep will go into it, one way or the other!
I think if you like someone enough to go on a date with them (and I rarely do), then it is only right to look as best you can for that date.
I really don't think so if one have to do hair and get clothes etc...but should I not do any of the things it pretty much cost nothing...depending on the occasion
Unla, Mine maybe, just need to clear the bricks and old paint tins out first.
tru, Having a senior moment is nothing to be ashamed of, I had one today where I described seeing the big moon last night as seeing reindeer, but Im mad so its ok.
Like Unla I don't go out and buy anything, I wear what's in my wardrobe. Normally, I only accept coffee dates, never dinner on a first date.
When the meeting is during the day I'll wear jeans or something casual, for the evening I always have a black number handy.
Having said all that, I haven't been on a date in ages and lately my running shoes are always ready
I don't wear Hermes scarves
I usually spend at least 3 hrs getting ready, and dont spend much $$.
I still have clothes in my closet I've never worn...still hoping for a date
Hiya back at you!
I can relate to Diova ...my hair is long and thick too..so takes awhile to look nice
By time Im done..I just want to
Don't want to scratch any ones back
