Angela Merkel Calls for Ban on Full-Face Veils in Germany

this is a start in protecting the citizens of foreign westwen countries where the Muslims choose to live. Assimilate or stay in your own country.. Merkel is following Dutch, France, Italy and other European countries.....but I see the American Muslim community is protesting the loudest........I am very pleased to see Merkel back off of her previous stance. Maybe the brutal rape and murder of a Top EU officials daughter by an Afgan refugee moved Merkel to the otherside. In any event this is a huge start in the right direction of each and every western country in keeping their idenity.........

Oh Sands this is what I have been saying for the last two years. Assimilate or stay in your own country.

Check my thread in the forum about Merkel, two threads that reached 2000 comments because it was so heated between the pro and cons.

But finally that woman is, like you said, turning around.

We must dress and behave according to their rules when visiting and working in Muslim countries. So expecting from them to live according to our rules is not in the least unfair imo.

MB, you know, the other day as I wrote about this girls murder I went swimming(I do my best thinking there). If we can take some of the feminist around the world and supplant them into the ME then we may just be able to change the balance of powers. Fyi..western women are not forced to wear veil in Jordan,Dubai,abu Dhabi, bahrain, Oman..So where do you get your...we are not allowed to dress how we want in muslim countries?

Not really. My friend had to hire a burka or whatever with full veil to leave the airport in UAE. She's a hot little blonde piece. I dont think it was ramadan. Another friend, a belly dance instructor here, described what absolute pigs the men there are and how they cant understand a white girl can speak their language fluently. Meh, all yours bud, enjoy.

Merkel was cautious and respected the German constitution and didn't go out demonstrating hatred and prejudice,that's what a leader does,go by example and don't just assimilate individuals because you feel threatened due your ignorance.

I grew up with Muslims as a present part of German society, ignorance occurs on both sides- non Muslim and Muslims.

i shared house with girls from Eritrea and Sudan, who didn't have a choice to come here or not, the greed of leaders have made it impossible for them to remain safe and sound in THEIR own Country, leaving parents and family behind. Because they embrace their culture and their faith, it just wasn't it their hands which part of the world they could live without ignoring their roots.

Miclee.. I personally have Christian friends here (yes more than one!!) And they are free to practice their religion and have never complained!

If you want to feed off of the media and an irrelevant example then that's your choice. FYI - the case you've mentioned is not about that woman practicing her religion.. rather it was an act of blasphemy that she committed in anger.

Get your facts straight before posting mate and try not to mislead people.
